The Forgotten Zodiac

Upon finding himself in the illusion, Cancer decided that clearly everyone else was against him, and somehow they were all trying to kill him, and possibly Rin, and take their stuff. He marched up to the walls and began banging on them, though not before activating his shields.

Tyler didn't stop crying in the room. He wasn't going to for a while, because he was sure that the big meanie wolf was making him think this so he would hold still while being eaten up. Needless to say, he didn't want to be eaten.

Ophile, however, stopped and calmed down. Gemini wouldn't have cast an illusion on them for no reason, so he just curled up to wait it out, releasing Timothy's hand in the real world.

Upon seeing Cancer's reaction, Quint dropped his face into his hand and groaned. Perhaps he had been a bit too hasty. He wondered if Cancer would attack once released, but there was no time to think about that right now. Currently, he needed to figure out what was going on. Quinn had calmed down, as Quint had put him in the illusion, too. Might as well; Quinn hated the dark, putting him in a bright illusion would most certainly calm him down.

Quint realized that he hadn't thought this through. At all. What now? Cancer was his first concern, he decided; he stood up and tapped the Zodiac on the shoulder, entering the illusion.

"You can't break it like that," Quint sighed once he was inside, entering behind Cancer, noting the shields. "And while that works in here, you can't activate your real shields on the outside until you're out. Good grief, it's like you've forgotten everything about us. Anyways, calm down."

((Tyler still isn't named Timothy. Still. No matter how hard you try, I won't change his name.

Also, you and Hannah must pick three colors and a shade of each, light, medium, or dark. Well, you don't have to pick three, but three would be best. Two is doable, and one is tragic.))

Cancer whirled and glared at Quint. "I haven't forgotten, Gemini. I simply understand that what's happened with Borealis has changed quite a few people, and it seems the Zodiacs weren't unafftected." He dropped his hand to his sword hilt, prepared to grip it and strike if he deemed it necessary, though he dropped his shields. "Why don't you explain what is going on then? Ophile was eating a human child, Kazue was going through all of our stuff and weeding out valuables, and now you are keeping me locked in an illusion. I'm supposed to trust you because?"

Kazue twitched only slightly as the walls appeared around him. He could still feel that his pack was in his hands, but he could no longer see it. "Annoying little..." he ranted quietly to himself, keeping a hold on his things to make sure no one could take them.

Rin and Igneous remained blissfully asleep.

((Good grief, you guys move fast.))

Also, I like blue. Sky blue is lovely, royal blue is a good medium, and regular dark blue is a good dark.

"I don't know what's going on. I did know that Quinn was crying because there was too much noise, so my immediate reaction was to separate everyone to try and sort things out." Quint answered calmly, eyeing the hilt of Darius' blade and the hand that gripped it. To be honest, he had half-expected Darius to whip around and punch him in the face. "Think about it. The human child couldn't have come from nowhere, and Ophile said it himself; humans taste disgusting to him, he wouldn't eat one unless he had to. Which do you think is more likely, that Kazue made the child randomly appear as a distraction so he could steal our stuff, or that the child was taking things, Ophile stopped him, and Kazue was picking things up?"

Quinn, in the meantime, calmed himself down enough to step out of his own illusion and jump into someone else's. He needed to find out what was going on, after all. He landed in Kazue's illusion, directly behind the other Zodiac. "Oh, Kazue." Quinn blinked, seeing how Kazue was sitting. "Um...hi..."

((I need three DISTINCT colors, Bun. Blue of some sort is noted. Now pick something else. Hannah, I do not apologize. Next time be on more and you won't get left behind. ; ) ))

Darius glared at Quint. "So what you're saying is I should trust the wolf I met today when he says he doesn't like humans, despite the fact that I just found him with one in his mouth, yes? Maybe it's more likely that Ophile went off and brought the child here to eat, while Kazue went through our stuff. I have absolutely no idea, and as of now you have me locked in a box so I can't find out!"

((Oh. Purple and...um...can I choose black? Also, what on earth is this for?

If it's for one of your sharpie things, I want one with dark purple, dark red and black. Those are my standard bad-guy colors, you see. I'm quite attached to those dark shades.))

Quint dropped his face into his hand, letting out a heavy sigh. "I was tired and not thinking straight. If you want, I can take you into someone else's illusion. Do you want to go question the kid, Ophile, or Kazue first? I don't want to release everyone, things will just get chaotic again."

((Blue, purple, and black? Cool! I'm making online-friend sharpie. Tasumi already has one, Trin is getting one, you come next, then Hannah. Also, for some reason in my head yours now looks like a bruise. Oh wait, you wanted red. Okay then... I kinda liked blue, but if you're sure...))

Cancer stared at Quint for a second, then nodded. "Let's go check on the kid, then. Find out what his side of the story is." He looked around then, waiting for the illusion to change.

((Oh, okay.

Blue is okay. xDD))

Quint nodded, closing his eyes for a moment. They then landed in Tyler's illusion a moment later. "Here we are."

((Which one do you prefer? It is yours, after all.))

Tyler was sitting in the center of the room, sobbing into his knees which he'd pulled up to his chest. Cancer marched over to him and picked him up. "Hey, stop crying, now. The wolf can't eat you anymore. You wanna tell me what you were doing here?"

((Red. :T))

"Darius, come on, he's just a kid." Quint frowned. This certainly wasn't the way he would handle such a situation. Calming the kid down was the first priority; get humans to like you, and answers would come much more easily. "Do you know who and what we are?" He asked Tyler, frowning a bit despite his thoughts.

((Okay then. I'll work on it when I have more muse.))

Tyler promptly kicked Cancer in the stomach, then ran to the opposite corner of the room. He glanced up at Quint and nodded. "You're the monsters who eat people and use their bones as pillows." He whispered.

Cancer humphed. "We are not! Ophile might be, but I have almost never eaten any human."

"Almost never, Darius? Really?" Quint rolled his eyes. "No, kid, we're Zodiacs. We're certainly not monsters, nor do we use bones for pillows. That sounds uncomfortable anyways. Regardless, you can trust us. Will you tell me how you found us and why?"

Tyler shook his head. "I'm not supposed to tell the monsters anything. Not anything at all, that's what everybody says." He stopped and looked panicked. "Not that there's an everybody. There isn't one. At all."

Kazue looked over at Quinn. "Did you do this?" he asked, looking around the room. "Get me out. Everything's all distorted. I don't like it," he said. This was obvious; in fact, Kazue's pallor had drained slightly, and his breathing had sped up. "I don't like this at all."

"What do you mean, Kazue? I like this place, it's always so quiet and bright..." Quinn looked around, wondering what Kazue didn't like about it. This was certainly better than some illusions he and Quint had used over the years.

"But we're not monsters," Quint said, raising a brow. "So it's okay to tell us, right?"

Tyler shook his head and pointed at Darius. "He's a monster and when you leave he's going to eat me!" He ran to Quint and grabbed his leg, hiding from Cancer. "If you make him go away, I'll tell you, okay?"

Cancer rolled his eyes. "What is this, everyone join in on hating me? Kazue steals my stuff, Ophile gnaws on the boy's arm, Quint and Quinn lock me in a stupid box, and the boy thinks I'm a flesh-eating monster."

Quint blinked, frowning a bit. "Alright. I'm running too quickly out on energy anyways, Darius, I'll let you go. I trust you not to slit our throats." He sighed, snapping once. Darius seemingly vanished, released from the illusions. "Okay, young one, please tell me what's going on. I'm getting tired, I can't keep us in here for much longer."

Tyler looked around, making sure Cancer wasn't there, then moved around to where he could see Quint's face. "I had to find your food and your shiny stuff. Everybody back home needed the food, and the guards from far away needed the shiny stuff." He looked around nervously, expecting Ophile to come out and bit him again. "Is the wolf-monster going to come eat me?"
