The Forgotten Zodiac

Kazue nodded in agreement with Ophile. Once he had everything pretty much sorted; that is, gotten his things back into his pack, he stood and made his way over to his bedding and tossed his pack under his blanket. "There," he said.

Ophile blinked in surprise. "I...uh...sorry." His tail and ears dropped, feeling a little insulted. He didn't kill butterflies, butterflies were pretty.

"From what I gathered, he came from a concentration camp that houses orphans." Quint explained. "When they get old enough, they're dragged away and...changed. Not sure how. I'm pretty sure the guards are humans, but it's hard to tell what he was saying. Also, for the time being, you're my pet monster. Anyways, I think we should help."

"I-I...I'm sorry, Kazue...I don't know why I can't remember, I just...don't." Quinn murmured, pulling his blankets around him protectively, trying to hide from the dark.

Tyler nodded and stepped out from behind Quint nervously. "Oh, you are? That's good. You should be, but I forgive you." He was less scared of Ophile, now that the wolf-monster was sorry, but Darius was still a bad monster-pet. "Also, I'm delicious. You should know that. Everybody who's eaten me thinks so. I taste like rainbows."

Cancer's jaw dropped. "I'm your what? I'm not a monster and I'm certainly not your pet! How-how dare you tell him something like that?" He crossed his arms and glared at Quint, wondering what in the world the other Zodiac was thinking.

Kazue snorted. "Nice, Quint. I knew you'd wise up someday to Cancer's true place," he said, but smiled to let the other Zodiac know he was joking. Rin sat up, finally awake. "What's going on?" she asked. Igneous was still asleep.

((By the way, Sage, since Ophile bit him, Tyler's hand should be going numb. :T))

"Oh. Thank you." Ophile perked up again a bit. "Oh, well, um...maybe I just didn't get a good enough taste. But I don't want to, because that would hurt you." And you're apparently not an enemy anymore, Ophile added silently.

"I'm not the one who said it, he said it! I just followed along so I could get the kid to talk!" Quint huffed. "Calm down."

"May I explain my side of the story?" Ophile said, then continued without waiting for permission. "Kazue woke me up, this child here was stealing our things. I attempted to remove him, and he hit me, so I followed my instincts and bit him. After that, Quint put us in illusions because Quinn was crying, I suppose, and that's all I know."

((Oh. Right. Forgot about that. Maybe he'll just have no dexterity, and he'll notice when he tries to do something.))

Tyler nodded. "That's a good plan. Hurting me is not a nice thing to do. It makes me upset when people hurt me." He looked at Quint and then looked over at Ophile. Deciding that Ophile was probably better protection than Quint, he ran over to Ophile and sat down by him, in case Cancer decided to try and kill him.

"Oh, sure that's what happened." Cancer huffed and marched over to Kazue and began replacing his stuff inside his bag. He was not a morning person, and it was showing.

((At this point someone notices the boy sitting behind them with glowing eyes.))

Rin listened to Ophile. "Oh, dear, you bit him? How hard?" she asked, worried about the human boy.

Tyler looked over at Rin and glared at her, surprisingly hateful for such a small boy. "I tried to wake you up when he bit me and they were all being scary, but you wouldn't wake up. Then he bit me." He said this as if being bitten had been the most terrible thing every to happen to him, but it wasn't actually that bad.

Rin looked upset. "Oh, I'm so sorry," she said, looking down.

((I'll do it.))

Quinn, who was still sort of shaken-up due to the illusion nearly turning on them, spotted a pair of eyes and immediately pulled his blankets over his head, trembling a bit. He lifted the edge slightly and peeked out, wondering if the eyes were still there.

"Not very hard, I promise." Ophile dipped his head in shame. "I apologize, it was uncouth of me to do such a thing without hearing him out first."

"Oh, come off it, Kazue." Quint snorted. "I belive him. He's a good wolf. Besides, Quinn would know if he was lying."

The eyes were still there, but their bearer had moved to the other side of the clearing, skulking in the darkness like a beast of prey.

Tyler nodded, instantly sniffling to hold back tears. When you weren't a particulary good thief, the ability to cry on demand was quite useful. "It was s-scary." He looked down at his hand and slowly wiggled his fingers. "Now I can't move them right." He whispered, though it was audible across the clearing.

((Libra and thems need to show up. Right after they start talking to him.))

Rin got up. "Give me your hand," she instructed. "I can heal it," she took Tyler's hand. "Who's got some water?"

Kazue turned, glaring as he heard more noise. "Ophile, do you hear that?" he asked.

Ophile's ears twitched. "Yes, I do. I smell something, too." His fur bristled, a growl rising in his throat. Quinn dropped the edge of the covers again, wondering how he could make an illusion so he could get away from all this again. How on earth had he forgotten something like how to use his own powers?

Tyler smiled up at Rin, rather dramatically, through his tears. He pointed one hand back at Cancer. "He has some water in his backpack." He didn't expect her to question how he knew that.

Rin went over to the backpack and got out Daruis's water canteen. She started on her way back, when she picked up on the conversation between KAzue and Ophile. "What's going on?" she asked. Kazue's eyes honed in on the origin of the noises he was hearing. "I don't know. We have more visitors," he said.

"Was walking all night really necessary?" Libra tromped along next to Isabella, radiating grumpiness. "I mean, some of the night? Early in the morning? Those are both acceptable, but all night?" He glared at everyone, especially when Isabella put one finger to her lips and  gave him a glare that clearly told him to be quiet.

"Yes, Libra, this was necessary. They'll be sleeping, we'll simply go tie them all up and drag them back, and then you can do whatever you Zodiacs do to each other when you've captured one another. I really don't care." She said all of this quietly, in case they were close enough that her voice could alert the hunted to their presense. "You really should be quiet, or they'll wake up and we'll actually have to fight and that will be terrible." She shrugged, annoyed by his insistent complaining.

Quinn, still watching the pair of eyes and still half-hidden under his blankets, didn't look up when he started hearing the voices, too. Ophile, on the other hand, who had Zodiac-sensing abilities, perked up at once. "Well, I'll be. It's Libra! I think I'm picking up Sagittarius, too! Why, the only thing that would be better would be if they had Sylas with them, but it doesn't seem to be that way." Ophile's tail started wagging. He was excited, of course, having no idea that Libra and Sagittarius had turned against them.

Kazue relaxed slightly. "Sagittarius and Libra?" he asked. "Is that all? I thought I heard three," he said to Ophile, looking to the others.

Igneous suddenly sat up. "What?" he asked. "Sagittarius?"

Rin turned back to Tyler. "Nothing to worry about," she assured the human, pouring water over his hand and healing it.

Lyre shrugged. "I can freeze them, if need be," she said.

Tyler shook his head. "Of course it isn't. Why would I be worried?" He grinned at her. "I'm never worried. Worrying isn't fun, and I like having fun, so I don't worry."

"But you could have frozen, and then I could have slept, and then we could have walked." Now that Isabella had told him to try to walk quietly, he was stomping even louder than before. You would think he'd be more mature, being immortal and having had thousands of years to work on it, but he really wasn't. It had worked backward.

((And Virgo. Who's actually an unknowing Isabella. But still, Virgo.))

((But Ophile can't sense that yet because the Zodiac powers haven't been activated yet. Let's go wit hthat.))

Ophile sniffed some more. "A human. They're closing in quickly. Should we go greet them? The human has to be okay if they're with Sagittarius and Libra, right?" Ophile said, looking up at Kazue happily.

Quint was thinking. "I think we should be careful...there's always the chance that Borealis is manipulating them somehow..."

"Guys?" Quinn, still under the blankets, shied over to Darius and reached up to pull on Cancer's hand. "Darius, look," He said, pointing towards the eyes that were still looking at them. "Look!"
