The Forgotten Zodiac

Daron screeched, kicking Ophile off of him and running after Yule. He stopped suddenly, stumbling backwards and raising his sword, hacking at air. "The eyes are so untrustworthy," Quint said; he was pointing at Daron, casting an illusion over the area the human was in, of course.

Quinn clutched his chest, crying bitterly. "I-I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" He wailed, shaking still.

Cancer glared at Daron until he couldn't see him, then turned back to the others. "Why don't we just go now? We can get that out later. Or just keep moving fast enough that he doesn't catch up to us. But we're not taking it out that way again."

Rin healed Quinn quickly. She frowned. "But what about the other humans? They can't all be like this," she said. "What about the one that showed you all in? Igneous, was it? What about the humans like him? I won't just desert them," she said.

Cancer shrugged. "What do you want us to do? Kill all of the leaders and take over? Look, at least we should get Quinn out of the city until we can get the tracker out, for the same reason we shouldn't abandon all the other humans in the city."

Kazue stood. "Ophile and I can take him. As far as being on the outside goes, I can steer further clear of danger then the rest of you, and I'm sure the dog can, too," he said.

"N-no, don't kill them...just...get the tracker out and they'll stop, won't they?" Quinn sniffed. "I...I think it would be better if we left and got it out, yeah..." Quint was too distracted to say anything. Ophile sniffed his agreement, sitting down next to Quinn. The Zodaic wrapped his arms around the wolf, hugging it since Quint was distracted with keeping the illusion up around Daron for as long as possible.

"I'm coming with you. Rin should come too, it's not safe for any of us to stay here, they're clearly insane." Darius re-sheathed his sword and sat down next to Quinn, raising the shield again. "From now on, why don't you stick with me? I can keep you safe."

Kazue opened his mouth to object, to say that it would be best if they were seperated so that Borealis didn't kill them all in one fell swoop, but Rin interrupted. "I agree. We are stronger together," she said. Kazue closed his mouth at that. Rin smiled to him. "Well, give me a moment, and I'll be ready to go," she said, running upstairs. Kazue rubbed the back of his head, heading up to his room as well. He and Rin had been here awhile, and had accumulated a few tings that they wanted to bring along. Kazue soon stopped, turned around, and came back. Those things would only slow him down. But Rin... it was understandable. She was probably just getting medical supplies, anyhow.

Quinn nodded and climbed to his feet, moving closer to Darius.

Quint dropped the illusion. "So, from what I heard, we're leaving? Wonderful. We'll have to come back sooner or later, though...have you all seen the surface? We'll have a hard time not finding a place that hasn't been ravaged by...itself. Borealis' influence is everywhere. We may be stronger as one, but if Borealis finds us...we'll be in trouble."

"I agree with everyone, and I'm coming with you. I need some sun on my fur, anyways, and it's my duty to protect the Zodiacs." Ophile nodded. "You can object, but I'm just going to follow you anyways."

"Why would we object? You're a giant, magical wolf offering to come bite people's heads off if they try to harm us in any way, shape, or form. I'm all for this." Cancer sighed. "I guess we will have to come back... Maybe once we have the tracker out of Quinn, then we'll consider it."

Rin hurried back, with a small bag at her side now. "I'm ready," she said. Kazue looked at the others, nodded, and headed for the door. Rin followed, walking alongside the twins.

((I suggest we move the posts onto the 'Surface' subforum when we move out of the city. Also, are we going to run into Hannah's human before we leave?))

"Yes, that pretty much sums it all up." Ophile nodded. "Right, so we leave, get the tracker out of Quinn, and then think about heading back here or not. Sounds like a plan." Quinn and Quint were holding hands, sharing thoughts with each other. Mainly Quint was telling Quinn that everything was going to be fine and that he wan't going to die. Quinn was mostly quiet.

((Yes we will run into Iggy before they go. He's going to follow them all sneaky like.))

Darius turned around and headed toward the door, pushing them open and the stopping for the others. "And Quinn, I promise we'll find a better way then just hacking it out of your shoulder. That was a joke. A bad one, admittedly, but a joke all the same."

As Kazue was the first out of the castle, he was met with many stares of people passing by. Admittedly, the group did look a bit unususal. But Kazue hadn't expected to get so much attention.

One set of eyes recognized thim. "You! You guys!" Igneous ran over to Quint and Quinn. "Oh, look at that, you look a lot better," he said, smiling at them.

Quinn nodded, smiling a little bit. "It was a really bad joke." He managed to hold his smile for a few moments before Quint took his hand and followed Kazue.

"Well, at least you remember not to make jokes like that, now," Quint rolled his eyes a bit, though he was smiling as well. "Yes, thank you, Igneous." He nodded as the human approached. Ophile followed them, but was silent. No need to attract attention to himself by talking.

Igneous fell into stride beside them. "So where are you all going? For a walk around Obelisk?" he asked. Kazue shook his head. "The surface," he said. Igneous stumbled. "What? Really?" he asked. Then, after a pause, "Can I come?"

Kazue halted, looking over his shoulder and trying to figure out if the human were serious.

Cancer stopped short at Igneous' question. "What? Why would /you/ want to come? We may not be coming back, depending on how things go out there, and Borealis will probably be on our tails as soon as we get there."

"IT's just.... I dunno. I've been down here too long, I guess. I want to leave," he said. "I want to see what it looks like out there."
