Timothy nodded, but stood up again. He turned and looked at Subject, then jumped forward, attempting to grab Subject's hand. His shadow swirled and slid toward Sylas, wrapping around the dog's feet.

((Do feel free to hurt Sylas. Or anyone else, for that matter. :T))

Subject blinked as his hand was grabbed, not having any idea what was going on. Sylas, in the meantime, yelped in alarm, barking as he tried to pull himself free. "T-Timothy, what are you doing?" Quinn squeaked, looking from Sylas to Timothy, wondering if she should help. Or who she should help. Subject was unable to pull away; when someone was using his ability, it was like he was glued to them until they stopped.

((But I like Sylas! Can I hurt Subject instead?))

A wall of shadow slid up and pushed Quinn, Michael, and the others backward. "I'm s-s-sorry, Sylas." He whispered. The shadows around Sylas reached his stomach, and they then slid up faster toward his back, jerking him lower the higher they got.

Michael was thrown back by the shadow wall, forcing him to drop Tyler. He got back up and charged the wall, air around his hands rippling as he hammered on the shield. Unfortunately, with Subject boosting Timothy's powers, it didn't have much effect.

((Hurt boff of dem. >:T))

Sylas yelped and struggled, shifting into his usual form in an attempt to break free, but he only wound up deeper in the shadows, lying on his side. Tears rolled down his cheeks as the shadows dragged him in. "T-T-Tyler...why?" He whimpered.

Subject watched in surprise. He had never seen shadow powers before...how cruel, though? What was this child doing? And what on earth was that thing?

Quinn and Werr were both thrown back as well, but Quinn fell on her rear end and Werr managed to land on his feet. Werr was quick to counter, rocks gathering around his arm. He charged and punched the wall, only stumbling back as the rocks crumbled and fell. He grabbed his shoulder; that hurt. He made a mental note not to try that again.

((Squeeze breath out of Sylas and hurt Subject.))

Michael stopped and simply placed his hands on the wall, pushing as much heat as he could muster into it, breathing heavily as the wall began to weaken.

Timothy hung his head but didn't answer Sylas, instead moving the shadow along so that it seeped into his mouth, preventing him from talking. Once he had Sylas on the ground, Timothy turned and swung a shadow blade at Subject's neck.

Sylas gagged, unable to breathe. He closed his tear-filled eyes, not wanting to see Timothy anymore. It was too terrifying. He couldn't breathe, he couldn't move, he was being suffocated and he was dying, and it was horrifying.

Subject dropped to the ground, feeling the blade pass over his head. He tried desperately to pull away, but it was useless, he knew that.

Werr started kicking the wall with rock-enforced feet, which was much easier than using his arms. Lotis, in the meantime, had grabbed Quinn from behind, covering her mouth and lifting her off the ground so she couldn't make any noise. She squirmed and kicked, trying to make as much noise as possible, especially when Lotis bit into her neck. She wound up biting his finger, hard enough to make him let go. She then screamed bloody murder, her neck still in Lotis' jaw, though he was having a hard time getting a solid grip.

((Dumb Lotis. He went after Quinn, not Tyler. Also, how should Timothy become good again? The only thing I can think of is have Werr pin him and Sylas talk to him. That might work.))

Michael whirled around at Quinn's scream, then dove at Lotis with the same attack he had been using on the wall. The problem here was that if he got to close to Quinn, it would burn her pretty terribly, so he couldn't touch her.

Tyler, meanwhile, backed up against the wall, staring in horror at what was going on. He reached for his bear, only to realize in terror that he had left him at the house. Dropping to his knees onto the asphalt, he pushed his hands into the ground and four, rock bears rose out of the ground, two charging and head-butting the shadow wall and two running to bite Lotis' legs.

((Quinn was closer. I think that idea would be good, 'cept Sylas is pretty much dead now. Though not really. Let's say temporarily dead. Hurt Subject moar. :U 'Cuz if you don't, I know for a fact that he'll turn out all big-headed and stuff. Wait...he'll be big-headed anyways.

But still.))

Subject, seeing Timothy's hesitation, proceeded to try and kick the boy in the gut, not sure where it would get him. He couldn't get his hand out of Timothy's until the boy stopped manipulating shadows entirely, so Subject was pretty much desperately attempting to fight back now.

Werr glanced over his shoulder, but figured Michael had the situation under control and continued attacking the wall. He suddenly stopped, though, doubling over and sinking to his knees, coughing wretchedly. Not now...he thought desperately, feeling blood on his hand as he coughed into it.

Lotis, in the meantime, kicked the bears off of his legs, but didn't have time to avoid Michael's attack. He screeched and stumbled backwards, dropping Quinn. Lotis threw a shadow-lance at Michael, snarling angrily.

Quinn hit the ground and rolled away, clutching her bleeding neck. It wasn't bleeding a moment later, though, as she froze the blood outside of the viens, stopping any more from coming out. She'd have a heck of a bruise later, she knew that, but...it was better than dying.

((Once Werr has him pinned, the shadows will go away and Sylas can get better. Sylas can be all nice and talk to TImothy.))

Subject ended up kicking Timothy in the knee, which hurt, but since he was still using shadow, didn't knock him off. As he'd stopped paying attention, the wall broke, but he turned and swung another blade at Subject, again aimed for the neck.

The shadow blade hit Michael in his arm, cutting him fairly deeply. He dropped that arm but swung at Lotis with his other arm, aiming for the center of Lotis' chest now that Quinn was out of the way.

((I see. xD))

Subject didn't have the room to drop down any further, and his arm was already stretched as far as it would go without being dislocated or something. He managed to sit up enough to avoid getting his throat sliced open, but the blade cut into his chest. Subject let out a cry of pain, desperately trying to pull away.

Lotis skipped out of the way, about to send another blade at Michael when something distracted him. It was horribly loud, and approaching fast. Sirens?

Indeed, police cars were closing in quickly around the group. Of course, they were elementals fighting in front of a tv station. Quinn looked up and saw cameras pointed at them from the roof of the TV station. Ridiculous...

((Can Timothy go after the police/the cameras?))

Knowing that he could hold Sylas down with his own power, Timothy swung at Subject again, hoping to kill him and then finish Sylas, which strangely seemed like a good idea. "You should stop. If I can just kill you, this can all be over."

Michael dropped, Lotis' blade going over him, though now Michael was flat on the ground. He pulled himself back toward the wall, using that to pull himself up. He glanced around, noting the police cars and looking then to Quinn and Werr, wondering what he was supposed to do.

((Are the defective turrets from Portal 2 the most awesomely hilarious things ever?

-cough- That would be a yes. :T))

Subject screamed as the blade sliced into his shoulder, blood splashing from the horrid wound onto the ground. "St-stop, please, stop!" He screeched, kicking desperately at Timothy again. He didn't even notice the police cars screeching to halts around them.

"Police! Drop your weapons and put your hands above your heads!" One of them called into a megaphone. He was killed about two seconds later, by a shadow lance that threw itself at the man, cutting straight through the megaphone and through the back of the neck. Lotis was holding his hands over his ears, making a pained face.

"Noisy..." Lotis grumbled, no longer paying attention to the gifted children. These humans were getting in his way.

Quinn just shook her head, not having any idea of what they could do. Werr, in the meantime, looked very panicked, frozen mid-kick. If they were captured here, he'd be locked away for a very, very long time. That was after questioning by the FBI, CSI, and possibly MI6. It wouldn't end well for him, that was for sure.

Werr cursed himself. In his calculations, he had ignored his own preferences; he had broken 84 rules just by coming here...and then this had happened!

Now that Lotis was distracted, his hold on Timothy was wearing off. The shadows melted into the air, and he collasped onto the ground, moaning as the police shouted.

Once Lotis stopped attacking, Michael also stopped. After looking around, he made up his mind and moved toward the back alley, grabbing Tyler and Quinn as he did so.

Sylvester stood there looking confused, one second he had been on his way to lunch, and now he was watching elementals fight in front of the TV station surrounded by police. Where had his day gone?

Sylas, now free of the shadows, staggered to his feet. The police were now openly firing at Lotis, who had called forth his own shadow wall to protect himself (not to mention several more shadow lances, which were steadily picking off the noisy cops). Sylas stumbled out of the way, 'pretending' to be a dog again, hoping the police wouldn't notice his change. He tugged on Sylvester's shirt, trying to get the human to follow the others. Werr, thinking quickly, helped Subject to his feet and headed after the others, intending to throw up a rock wall once Sylas and whoever-that-was were in the alley as well.

Two policemen stood in their way, however. "Hands on your head! Now!" One of them shouted. Werr stopped, but Subject didn't, pulling his hand out of Werr's grip. He jumped, landing quite literally on their faces, forcing both of them to the ground at once. Subject blinked at Werr before following the others, still bleeding pretty badly. Werr followed, startled at what he had just seen. At the same time, he felt a bit funny...he shook it off and ran after the others, wondering how Sylas was going to get out of there.

Syl immediately began moving, bumped out of his shock by Sylas, though he didn't understand how now that the dog was here the person was gone, and how the person made the dog disappear, or how there were police shooting at them, or how these shadow things were happening, or- Suffice to say, he didn't understand most of what was going on.

Timothy stood up shakily, then ran between the two policemen, shadows clamping them to the ground the way he had with Sylas, holding them down so Sylas and Sylvester could get through.

Sylas followed with Syl, barking once or twice at the policemen before they passed. Werr grabbed Subject by the hand and kicked his heel against the ground. A thick, solid wall shot up between them and the police, blocking off any attempts to follow them. "Michael! We have to get out of here, now!" He shouted over the din of battle just past the wall. Although, it was hardly a batte, more like a massacre. Lotis wouldn't leave any of them alive.

The wall shut just behind Syl, who jumped and continued moving.

Once the wall was up the shadows allowed the policemen to stand up, not that it would do them much good. As soon as the shadow was removed, they were easy targets for Lotis, who would probably pick them off immediately.

Michael nodded and kept moving, weaving along back alleys toward the edge of the city. After about fifteen minutes of running, Michael stopped, looking around. "Wait, which way now?"

Indeed, Lotis was quick with his work, but I refrain from elaborating further, due to the possibly unsteady constitutions of those reading this.

"Uh..." Quinn looked around with a frown on her face. "I dunno..."

Werr stopped as well, coughing up a mouthful of blood before speaking again, wiping his mouth with his hand. "We're on the wrong end of the city," He shook his head. "We should head west from here, we should come out near the suburbs."

"I don't feel so good..." Subject leaned against the wall of the alley, rather pale. Too much bloodloss, evidently.

((It's only my blood swirling down white sinks. I wouldn't have minded, though my parents might have.))

Sylvester looked at Subject and immediately moved to stop the bleeding, before he keeled over dead.

Michael nodded and bit his lip. "Wait, west? Which way is west, exactly? I'm not a walking compass, you know." He leaned against the wall to catch his breath and meanwhile looked around in an attempt to find his bearings.

Timothy, meanwhile, crawled up to Sylas; his head hanging miserably and tears streaming down his face. "I'm s-s-sorry S-Sylas." He whispered.

((Hannah reads it too, doesn't she? Oh well. I was also too lazy to elaborate, so whatever.))

Subject held still as much as he could, though wincing as Sylvester touched his wounds. They were pretty serious.

Werr sighed. "Fortunately, I am. It's that way," He pointed back the way they came from. "We should turn south the first chance we get, though, to avoid passing the TV station again."

Sylas, who had transformed back into his usual self, drew back against the wall, looking fearful. He was still wheezing from the shadows killing him like that.
