"And he's a pain to be around." Michael slid off the bed and moved to a higher bunk. He placed both hands on the ceiling and concentrated. Heat slid from certain areas to others, causing the concrete to expand and contract in separate places. "It's just like Kyle to make the bedrooms Gift resistant. He's such a paranoid freak."

"So...what the heck--" Werr started, but another voice cut him off.

"Werr? Michael?" Quinn was just outside, staring at the wall of rock and shadow that stood between her and her friends (in the loosest sense of the term).

"Thank goodness," Werr breathed a sigh of relief. "Quinn, you need to go get Sylas and Tyler to let us go, okay? They put us in this box to try and make us a little friendlier towards each other."

It was quiet for a moment, then Quinn asked, "Did it work?"

Werr hesitated. If he said the wrong thing, Quinn could very well just leave them in here. He looked up at Michael, wondering what the boy would think of to say.

((She should leave them. Then, everyone should forget about them for, like, two days.))

Michael looked at Werr, then at the door. "Maybe? Somewhat? I made him scream, but he's not mad at me for it, so... Maybe? It's not exactly group bonding in here. There's only two of us and no icebreakers." He sighed and sat down, annoyed at Sylas and Tyler. "If you can't get us out, can you at least get us food?"

((xDDD Got it.))

"I...guess I can try to convince Tyler to get you some food, but...they kind of have the right idea. Especially if you made Werr scream over anything." Quinn shook her head, backing away. "I'll go do that now, I guess." She walked down to the kitchen after that.

"Great...at least we'll be fed..." Werr grumbled unhappily.

"I had to!" Michael protested. Of course, Quinn had walked away by that time; so it didn't help them any; but he tried all the same. "It's Werr's fault for breaking his leg." He turned and scowled at the man, not truly upset but mildly annoyed. "You're lucky I was here to help you set it anyway."

"I didn't break it, Sylas broke it!" Werr protested angrily. "Just...ugh..."

"Hey, Tyler? Michael and Werr want food." Quinn said as she came down the stairs, smiling a little bit. "Also, good idea, with the box thing. If they don't kill each other, they should at least have made up..."

Tyler looked up from his plate of waffles and shook his head. "Nope. I'm too busy eating waffles. Would you like some?" he held out a pre-readied plate to Quinn cheerfully. "Kyle's being nice, and you're not in trouble. This has all your waffles, but no syrup... If you put syrup on them, they get soggy."

"Yes, I know. Thanks," Quinn smiled and took the waffle. "Oh yeah, Subject was by the toilet this morning...I think he's sick or something. Do you think we should check on him? Maybe I should take him some water..."

Tyler shrugged and kept eating. He wasn't really interested in Subject. "You can if you want. He's boring, but you can share water with him. Just not waffles." He looked up at her and grinned; face coated in syrup. "Waffles are for people who appreciate them. I don't think he does."

Quinn giggled a bit, setting her plate down. "I don't think he'll want to eat waffles right now, you're right. But I'll take some water to him before I eat, okay?"

"Here," Sylas stood and went to the kitchen, preparing a glass of icewater. "Go ahead," He shrugged. Quinn just smiled and moved off, not noticing anything wrong with the Iyoui as of yet. She moved back upstairs and shook Subject lightly.

The next few minutes were quiet, then there was a crash and a scream from Quinn. She ran back downstairs a few minutes later, a large bruise already welling on her forehead and tears in her eyes, as well as ice cold water all over her last clean shirt. She sat down very hard in her seat, bursting into tears a moment later. "H-he sm-smashed my h-head into the sink!" She wailed. "A-and then we-went back to sleep!"

Kyle water out of the sink immediately, freezing it and wrapping it in a cloth. Once he had it fully wrapped, he held it out to Quinn. "Hold that on your forehead to keep the swelling down." Then, he spun around and caught Tyler as the little boy ran out of the room. "Kid, you can't go kill him. That's messy, and I don't want to have to clean the bathroom."

Quinn whimpered and did as was told, still shaking a little bit and definitely still crying. "So...he just went back to sleep?" Sylas questioned gently.

"I-I think he passed out. He looked...sick..." Quinn muttered. "I don't know what's wrong with him."

"He said he was feeling ill last night, did he not?" Sylas frowned. "Still, that is no excuse for his actions...if he is attacking people thoughtlessly, we may need to tie him up. Or break his arms."

Tyler stood up and shook his head at Sylas. "Don't break his arms, Sylas. Arm breaking isn't good." The boy ran out of the room and into the bathroom to glare at Subject. Without hesitation, he kicked subject in the ribs and jumped backward before Subject could grab him. "Bad Subject! Don't hurt Quinn ever again!"

Subject didn't move much. He did, however, splutter once or twice, wheezing as though his breathing was restricted. He then sat up and leaned into the toilet, reching emptily there before collapsing next to it again, glaring up at Tyler. "D-do-don't...kick..." He wheezed before closing his eyes again, hugging his chest.

Tyler nearly kicked Subject again, but instead grabbed him by the arm and started pulling him toward the kitchen. "C'mon! You have to come apologize to Quinn for being mean and eat a good breakfast. You shouldn'ta eaten all that ice cream, without any vegetables." He pulled harder, dragging Subject away.

Subject didn't even move as Tyler dragged him all the way down the hall. He just groaned when Tyler dragged him into the kitchen.

"Ech, he reeks!" Sylas yelped at once, recoiling.

"He really is sick," Quinn made a face.

Tyler crossed his arms and stood over Subject, glaring furiously at him. "Apologize to Quinn, or I'll start kicking you again. Actually," the boy's face lit up with a nasty delight and he marched over to the sink and began filling cups with cold water. "I'll pour this water on you till you smell better.

"N-no, stop..." Subject mumbled, struggling to sit up. "So-sorry, Quinn..."

"I forgive you, but...what's wrong with you?" Quinn frowned.

"Sick..."

"Obviously!"

"I-it's withdrawl," Subject panted, shaking his head. "I'll b-be fine, ju-just..." He flinched, hugging his own stomach tightly.

"Withdrawl from what?" Kyle looked up and watched Subject with interest, curious as to what drugs he could have been addicted to. Of course, he never could resist a snarky comment. "Vegetables? I thought you were over that by this point in your life..."
