Michael spun around, knocking Israel's hand off his shoulder. "I'm leaving. It's better this way for all of us. You know /nothing/ about me. I'm not on your side. Israel, I like you. You're a nice person, and it's not safe for me to stay with you. Not all of being caught was Ari's fault."

Israel pulled his hand back, looking suprised. "What could you possibly mean? Micheal, what's going on with you?" he asked.

"Israel." Michael shook his head and turned around again. "You'll understand later. Just let me go. It'll be easier in the long run."

Israel shook his head. "You're our friend, I'm not just going to leave you behind," he said.

"No. I'm not your friend. I'm not Tyler's cousin. I don't believe Laaguz are equal to decent human beings. My entire family isn't dead. I'm not even male. Everything you think you know about me is a lie. Deal with it."

Israel was taken aback. His eyes narrowed. "Repeat?" he asked.

"I'm. Not. Your. Friend. I'm leaving. Leave me alone." Micheal started walking again, hoping Israel wouldn't follow him. "Now go take care of the people who actually want you around."

"What about Tyler? Don't you care about him?" Israel asked, still following.

Michael turned around again. "No, Israel. I don't care about him. He's an end to a means, and as one, isn't actually that good. Now if you don't stop following me, I swear I will burn you to ashes. Understood?"

Israel took a step back at the threat, his eyes still glaring at Micheal. At that moment, Kai swooped down and grabbed Israel's arm, flying him towards Kilvas. Tyler was on Kai's back. Kai ooked back to make sure Isa was following.

Isabella grabbed Timothy and shot after Kai. "Was that Michael? I thought you said he was nice?"

Michael rolled his eyes and turned around, heading off into the crowd again.

Kai nodded, then shook his head. Israel had shifted into his bird form and climbed onto Kai shoulder. Hetzel had taken the Silence Spell off of Kai before they left. "I... may have stretch truth a little," he said.

Tyler shook his head. "Michael was nice. Before. Now he's mean. Israel, what's wrong with Michael? How come he's mean?"

Isabella glanced from Tyler to Kai. "Which one of you am I supposed to listen to?" She asked.

Kai pointed to himself, "Me," he said. "I can see what inside him, can't you?"

"I-I didn't look at him much." Isabella dropped her head slightly, as if embarassed at her lack of attention."

Tyler pulled on Kai's hair, not hard, but enough to get his attention. "Kai? If you knew he was bad, why didn't you say something?"

"I didn't want to hurt anyone else," he said, looking pointedly at Tyler.

((How? Tyler's on his back. Is Kai an owl now? WHOOWHOO!))

"But he said it was his fault we got hurt at all. You shoulda just said something. I would have believed you."

((No. Kai will never be an owl, he's a Heron. Israel's a raven right now.))

Kai frowned, looking down. "I'm not sure exactly what he meant... just that he had evil thoughts," he said.

((Then how does Kai look at Tyler? Tyler is on Kai's back. Confuuuuusing.))

"Oh. Lotsa people have evil thoughts. That's 'cause lotsa people are evil."

((over his shoulder. cutting his eyes at him))

Kai nodded. "Sadly, you're right," he said.
