((Good.)) Tyler pouted and glared at the guards, assuming that Israel was just hushing him because he was tired. Since he had to be hushed, he stood in front of Israel with his arms up, the universe signal for 'up'. Isabella's eyes narrowed, loyalty to her friends making her wish she could change the guards' minds. "I'll have you know that both the Raven /and/ the Beorc were extremely instrumental in my release from..." She stopped and shuddered, not even wanting to think about Oliver. "bondage."

Israel sighed, smiled, and picked Tyler up. "Okay, okay," he said. Kai nodded to affirm Isabella's words. The guard's eyebrows raised. "Really? How unusual," he said. "For such selfish creatures to go out of their way to help you," he murmured under his breath. Israel held back a glare. "And what about him?" the guard continued, pointing to Kyle.

-- Peter had a temper, David had an affair, Noah got drunk, Jonah ran from God, Paul was a murderer, Thomas was a doubter, Moses stuttered, Elijah was depressed, Abraham was old, and Lazarus was dead. God doesn't call the qualified - He qualifies the called!

Tyler grinned and wrapped his arms around Israel's neck, content to sit and wait so long as Israel was holding him and didn't attempt to put him down. Putting him down, however, might result in problems. Isabella shrugged. "Unusual or not, that is what they did, and so I consider them my friends. If you can't deal with that, I suppose we could always..." She sighed, being dramatic and manipulative surprisingly well. "I suppose we could always attempt to find refuge elsewhere. If the Hawks are in the business of turning aside Herons in desparate need of help, then fine."

The guard's eyes widened. "Oh, no, no no. You all are all most certainly welcome here," he said, smiling. "Allow me to escort you to the palace."

"Oh. That's good then, isn't it?" Isabella looked around. "Would you prefer to fly or to walk? We /can/ do both, of course."

ISrael hesitated. Kai looked at him in understanding. "Walk," he said. "A nice stroll through the woods is always pleasant," he said. ((Don't you love how Kai's speaking skills fluctuate?))

((I do. He's not normally this good. Normally he's just kinda mediocre. Oh. I forgot about his wings. That's awkward.)) Isabella nodded and set Charlotte down, remaining her hold of the younger girl's hand, in case the guards decided to try something. Kyle, meanwhile, had slipped out of Israel's range as soon as he was distracted with Tyler and, now that he was far enough away that he thought they wouldn't catch him, he bolted and ran for the wyvern, hoping he could get on and get away.

One of the Hawk guards saw Kyle. He flew over and grabbed the Beorc's arm. "Where do you think you're going?" he asked. "You're coming to see the King," he snickered. The other guard nodded. "A nice walk it is, then. Follow me,' he said, turning and heading into the forest.

Kyle squirmed and tried to get out of the guard's grip, but it was to no avail considering he was in terrible shape compared to the guard. As the guard led Kyle back, Charlotte looked up at him. "For somebody who's supposed to be smart, you sure are dumb, big brother." The others headed after the guard, Timothy shadowing Kai and hoping the guards wouldn't notice him.

Kai smiled over his shoulder at Timmy. Israel continued to carry Tyler.

Tyler pulled on Israel's hair, trying to get his attention. "Israel? Can I get down now? This is boring. We should race." He whined. "Racing is fun and you don't have to fly. So can we race, please?"

"Not right now. It's inappropriate," Israel whispered back. "After we meet Tibarn."

Tyler wrinkled his nose, preparing for some more whining. "But how coooooome? I wanna race! I don't care if it's inawhateveritis, I wanna race and Tibarn can go to his box until I'm ready for him."

"No," Israel answered quickly.

At this, Tyler shoved himself out of Israel's arms and bolted down the hill. "FINE! I'll race myself, meanie!" He raced out toward the forest, not caring whether Israel chased him or not, though it might pacify him somewhat. ((And now I want to again. Grrr... I keep having these phrases of wanting to bring an older brother person for Isabella or not wanting to. You should think of a name, though. Syl doesn't work in FE.))

Israel rushed after him. "Tyler, no! Come back!" he said, knowing that the woods near Phonecies were not safe for Beorc; not that they were safe for Ravens, either.... ((Raphel.))

Tyler stopped and turned around. "How come? If I can't go over there, where can I go? You won't let me go anywhere!" The little boy ran back past Israel over to Kai and held up his arms, deciding to ignore Israel for now.

Kai picked Tyler up, looked slightly shocked. Israel frowned and fell back into step with the others.

Tyler wrapped his arms around Kai's neck. "Israel's not being nice right now. How com ehe isn't being nice? It's not nice not to be nice. He's just being a grump." He looked over Kai's shoulder and glared back at Israel.

"He's just sad because we have to walk because of him," Kai said softly.
