The Forgotten Zodiac

((Dropping a wyvern. Just realized one would carry both, 'cause Charlotte is to little to go by herself. Also, it's FE. She can have naturally highlited hair. ;)))

Timothy whimpered and pulled up against Kai, nearly hysterical as the wyverns got closer.

The wyvern landed and two people got off, one was a boy, about fourteen with two swords strapped to his side. The other was a young girl, her hair mostly black, though the front was white streaked.

As the boy got off and walked closer, Timothy's near hysterics turned into absolute hysterics, pulling himself behind Kai as if the boy would take Kai and not him.

Israel jumped forewards, hissing at the boy. "Who are you?" he demanded.

((Hannah, why is all nobility spanish in my head? Those names wouldn't matter to anyone, I just needed something frilly, and anything with de sounds frilly. As does Spanish, apparently.))

The boy blinked, as if surprise by Israel's question. "/I/ am Kyle Miguel de Vanchero. Are you Israel, nephew to Naesala, the king of Kilvas, or is that coward hiding elsewhere?"

The girl sat down, watching Israel and Kyle with a serious, and slightly sad expression. "Please try not to get bloody, big brother. I don't like blood."

Israel bristled. "You dare call me a coward?!" he shouted. Subconsciously, his wings fanned out to make him look larger, but quickly fell back to his sides. He managed to cover his wince with more yelling. "I am he. What is it that  you want?" he snapped.

The girl shrugged, looking up at Israel. "He calls everybody bad things, you just ignore it."

Kyle shrugged. "I'll call you what I want. What I want, is your death, obviously." He pointed one arm out at Timothy. "Stop it, Timothy. I'm tired of your whining already, and I just got here."

Israel hissed again at Kyle. "Don't you talk to Timmy that way," he said, "Get out of here. Leave us alone!" he said.

Kyle glared at Israel, then shrugged rather dismissively. "What you think really doesn't matter. Because of you, one of the people I loved has committed suicide. What you think no longer matters. Besides, Timothy /belongs/ to me, technically. So I can talk to him however I like."

Sadly, at Kyle's command, Timothy had begun sniffing, almost immediately stopping his whimpering, though he didn't back away from Kai.

Israel's gaze softened a bit. "What? Who?" he asked. The glare almost immediately returned. "Timothy doesn't belong to you or anyone," he snapped.

Kyle's gaze was cruel and hard, a sneer visible on his lips. "I don't think who it was matters. All that matters is that they are dead, and it's your fault." He pulled one of the scabbards off his waist and tossed it to Israel. "Now we will settle this the way nobility has for generations, despite the fact that the term nobility hardly applies to you."

Israel clumsily caught the sword. He was a laguz; the bird tribe didn't use steel to fight! He stared down at the blade, wondering how he would manage to not get killed now. He bristled at Kyle's words, though, lifting the sword. "Well then, en guarde," he said.

Kyle rather clumsily swung the sword at Israel, assuming that the other boy's reflexes would be slower than his because of his race.

Israel batted it away with one quick motion. His reflexes worked just fine, they were probably better than Kyle's, because of his race. He swiped out at the other boy, doing a bit better with the sword, suprisingly.

Kyle stepped back out of the way, dodging the blade, then stepped back in, jabbing at Israel.

The girl stood up and walked over to where Kai was, close enough that she could talk to him but far enough out that he couldn't grab her. "Excuse me?"

Israel stumbled back, trying to regain he balance.

Kai didn't take his eyes off the fight, but he did reply. "What? Yes," he said, telling her he was listening.

"Will you make sure big brother doesn't die, please? I'd get in big trouble if he died, plus I'd be stuck here, 'cause I can't ride a dragon by myself."

"I don't think I can stop Israel," Kai said. Israel slashed out again.

Kyle jumped back out of the way, though this time the sword cut his left arm, the one without the sword. He winced, but swung back out at Israel, his disadvantage becoming more obvious with every passing moment.

She paused. "But... I thought you could do your singing thing, that stopped people from dying?"

"Oh, yes, when Israel stops trying to kill him, I can save him," Kai nodded.

Israel smirked. He batted the sword back. "What do you have to say for yourself now, little Beorc?" he asked. "Still think you can win?" he stabbed out again.

The girl nodded. "Thank you. That's very helpful of you. Now I just have to get him," She looked at Israel. "to stop trying to kill him. Oh dear..."

Kyle's eyes darkened and shadows swirled out around him. "Of course. Those who are superior win. You are not superior, but I am. Therefore, I will win."

((Okays. So Israel beats Kyle, then doesn't kill him 'cause Israel's a good guy. However, they should take those two with them.))

Israel's eyes flashed angrily. He ran his sword through Kyle's shoulder.
