The Forgotten Zodiac

The girl pushed one hand further down his throat, stopping him from talking while she pulled her other hand out. "It's over there. In the bag on the dragon. Don't worry, he won't bite unless Kyle tells him to, and Kyle's not telling anyone to do anything at all right now."

Israel nodded, going over to the large reptile. He dug around in the bag until he procured the twine, then came back. He grabbed Kyle's hands and bound them. Then, he pulled the girl's fist out of his mouth and shoved a wad of cloth inside, then wedged a piece of rope between his teeth to hold it there. "There," he said.

The girl shook of her hand, frowning at the saliva on it, then wiping it on Kyle's shirt, which he tried to avoid. She then looked up at Israel. "What's your name?"

"Israel," he said. "I'm the Prince of Kilvas," he said.

"Oh. That's nice." She frowned. "Were you going somewhere when we interrupeted you? 'Cause Mommy says it's not polite to interrupt." She shrugged. "I'll bet trying to hit you with swords isn't polite either."

"We were going to go visit King Tibarn," Israel said.

"Oh..." She nodded, as if that made perfect sense. "Now I have two questions. Won't he not like you? And are you gunna make us come with you so that we can't go tell anyone where you're going?"

"YEs, you're coming," ISrael said, not answering the first question.

"Oh... Okay then." She stood up and walked away from Kyle, who was glaring and muttering, or attempting to mutter, some very nasty things.

Isabella had finished singing. Tyler squirmed out of her arms and ran back over to Kai, hiding behind his legs and peering out at Charlotte.

Kai turned and picked up Tyler. Israel hauled Kyle to his feet, dragging him over to the wyvren. "Timmy, do you know how to drive this thing?" he asked.

Timothy looked at the dragon nervously, then shook his head. "I'm only on d-d-dragon's when they're t-t-t-taking me b-back. You aren't-t taking me back, a-a-are you? Please d-don't! I don't w-wanna go b-b-back."

Charlotte skipped over to Timothy and grabbed his hand. "It's okay. This is a nice dragon, and we're not going back. We're gunna go see someone who doesn't like Israel. I'll bet I can get him to go where I want. I'm just not allowed to fly by myself, 'cause Mommy thinks I'll fall off."

"I'll ride with you," Israel said. "I can't fly anyhow," he muttered. He pushed Kyle onto the dragon and then got on himself.

Charlotte let go of Timothy's hand and climbed up the dragon, looking down at the others to see if anyone else wanted to come.

Tyler looked up at Kai. "Would you be mad if I rode on the dragon a little bit? I won't if you don't want me to..."

Israel smiled slightly, holding his hands out to Tyler to help him up. Kai handed Tyler up to Israel.

Tyler grabbed Israel's hand and didn't let go, eyeing Charlotte warily and glaring at Kyle. "When are we /going/? And are we almost there?"

"Just a quick trip over the ocean, there," he said. ISrael looked to Charlotte. "Alright, we can go," he said. Kai picked up Timmy and lifted off.

Isabella lifted off after Kai, flying noticeably faster without Timothy.

Charlotte leaned forward and said something to the dragon, who immediately took off. She tumbled backward into Israel.

Israel caught her. "Steady," he said.

"Sorry." Charlotte pulled herself up and scooted forward a little bit, obviously trying not to be obviously uncomfortable around Israel. "That's why I'im not allowed by myself."

"Don't worry, I won't let you fall," Israel said, smiling. He was holding onto Tyler, too, but not Kyle.
