The Forgotten Zodiac

"Mmhmm. Sure. I'm glad you both are so supportive," Borealis rolled his eyes, sitting back down in his 'throne' and leaning back, checking six total of his pocketwatches before he decided that they were, in fact, telling him the correct time.

Libra flopped back on the couch, resting his head on the armrest so he could continue to see Borealis. "Borey? Why don't you trust watches? What did watches ever do to you?"

Lyre sat back down, sipping on her tea.

"You stop trusting a lot of things when a Pandora Box makes you believe that everything you once liked has turned on you and wants you dead." Borealis shrugged, double-checking the time on his watches; he had three wristwatches, hidden by the sleeve of his coat. "I used to enjoy coffee, if you remember. Not so much now."

"That's quite strange," Lyre said. She looked up. "What is your obssession with time, there?" she asked.

"Mmmm, coffee. I used to enjoy coffee. Now I can't drink it. It reaks havoc on this body. Sad, but true." He shrugged, something difficult to do while lying down with your head up. "I suppose it's the price I pay for swiching bodies."

"Simple. There was no way to keep track of it inside the box. There were watches and clocks, but all of them said different things. It was impossible to tell whether any of them were telling the correct time." Borealis answered. "I don't trust watches as much anymore because of that. They might have followed me out of the box."

Lyre smirked. "A little paranoid, I see," she said.

"Paranoia is just another synonym for careful, in my experience." Borealis tutted.

"No, paranoia is just another synonym for horribly brain damaged, but doesn't know it. Careful is different. Careful people take care of /one/ what and trust that ones time. Paranoid people need thirty three."

Lyre laughed. "You're right, Libra," she said.

Borealis frowned. "I have twenty four, Libra, not thirty three. I have around sixty in my room, though. Perhaps you have a point. Regardless, isn't it unwise to insult someone who can transform the chair you're sitting upon into a monster on accident? Oh, wait, I said that earlier..." He blinked, looking down at his hand and opening and closing it, trying to get himself focused on the matter at hand. Yes, he was paranoid and very much aware of it. But he was aware of everything at once and it was driving him insane. These two didn't know what it was like, and he wanted very much to show them. Even a small portion of the torture he had suffered would drive their lesser minds to the same state his own mind was in currently.

"You see? Paranoid. Just admit it and move on." Libra sat up, moving so he could see the other two at the same time. "The thing is, I'll probably just keep pushing you until you do. Find the breaking point, then I know what it is, which gives me power at some level."

Lyre stood. "Did you send for Ivory, Borealis? I cannot wait to see where it is that the others are hiding," she said.

"Very well then. I am paranoid." Borealis smiled dryly.  "You won't ever find it, Libra. As for Ivory, yes. She's coming. She has a hard time finding plastic things, they all smell the same to her. It's quite alright, she'll be back soon enough."

Lyre nodded, sitting back down. "That's interesting. Tell me, is it true? That you made her?" she asked.

"It is indeed true. It's not just tables and cups I can bring to life, you know. Ivory was and is perhaps one of the most complicated creatures I've made. I went through fourteen different designs before I realized the female body would work better in terms of flexibility. Human corpses are surprisingly adaptable." He smiled. "I made Ivory before I was stuck in the box, you know. She hid herself well, as you can probably tell."

Lyre nodded. "I see. So," she said. "It sould be quite easy to amass an army, yes? With your power, just use the dead humans. We'd have a massive army," she said. "And best of all, the humans would be disposable."

Libra nodded. "Not only that, but as our army killed more, our army would get bigger, and he could just bring the troops back as they died. It'd be quite effective, when you think about it."

"See, you both have caught on." Borealis chuckled. "While we're here sipping our tea, the last stronghold of humans is being bombarded by leigeons of undead. Did you know that there's a rather large settlement in Hawaii? I mean, it probably won't be there for much longer, but even so...I had to hack into the sattelite before I found them, but even so...how long has Hawaii been around, anyways? I don't remember us making that. Perhaps that was one of the stolen memories..."
