"You're probably right," Geoffrey said, nodding seriously before breaking into a humorous smile. "We probably shouldn't talk about him while he isn't here, though. Seems like something he'd take offense to." He grinned at her again, then leaned forward to rest his elbows on his knees. "So everything is going fine, then?" he asked. He'd never really been opposed to Lucia's deciscion to marry Soren, but he did find himself worrying, from time to time, if the mage really did love her back. Of course, if Lucia's pregnancy was any indication, then... but, well, he felt it was his brotherly duty to make sure she was okay.

"It's wonderful, Geoff." Lucia smiled reassuringly at her younger brother. She found his defensiveness highly amusing, especially since it was months past her wedding. "I miss Melior, of course, but we visit enough. I'm happy in Felirae, I really am."

Geoffrey let himself smile at his sister. "If you say so," he said after a moment. It wasn't that he didn't believe her - it was just that some small part of him didn't believe that Soren, for all his stoicism and cool demeanor, was actually a, to use his sister's words, "wonderful" partner. But, he supposed, if Lucia was happy, he could let it go. "I'm glad for you."
