The Forgotten Zodiac

Rynyn stopped and was quiet for a moment. He made a low growling noise in frustration and sighed loudly. "Yes, I'm leaving. I'm going away, as you should to." He grunted loudly through clenched teeth. He looked back over his shoulder at Subject. "Seriously. Go away."

"Okay! I'll go away with you!" Subject said happily, much quieter than before. "Where are we going? I overheard what you were talking with nasty mister Telle about. You're going to go save your sister, right? We should hurry, then, 'cuz otherwise she'll be dead before we get there. Or broken. Maybe they'll steal her sanity, too."

Rynyn glared at the boy. "NO." He grunted firmly. "Go THAT WAY." He ordered angrily. "You are NOT, going ANYWHERE, with ME." He turned and kept walking away, though his walk was edging on a run. There was absolutely no way he was going to let that freak come with him. He glanced back to see if Subject was still behind him.

Well, of course Subject was still behind him. It wasn't like he would just leave. That would be no fun. He was jogging to keep up, but he didn't seem to mind. "Of course I'm not going 'anywhere' with 'me'. I'm going somewhere with you. Did I tell you my name before? I don't think I did. I'm Subject, and I can help you get your sister back. I have guns, lots of guns, they're all back at my house."

Rynyn glared at Subject and kept going as he talked about was, to Rynyn, nonsense. "I don't care. I don't care, about your name, and I don-..." Guns would be good. Whether or not they would be worth putting up with this idiot or not, was unknown, but guns would be a big help for getting his sister out of there. 
((Question. What kind of security is at the jail?))

((Cameras, guards, cells, a large wall complete with barbed wire, and rumored land mines around the entire thing. Though, those are just a rumor. Maybe.))

"You don't care about my name? That's terrible of you. I care about my name, you should care too. I didn't hear you tell me your name. I didn't hear mister Telle say it, either. You must be really new here." Subject grinned a bit, pulling on Rynyn's arm as they passed an intersection. "Come on, my house is this way! It's only a half a block in, come on!"

Holding tightly to the coat he filled with stuff, Rynyn sighed loudly and rolled his eyes. "I still don't care your name." He grumbled, reluctantly letting Subject drag him away. After thinking for a moment longer he sighed. It wouldn't be that horrible if Subject knew his name. "My name Is Rynyn." He said quietly.

"Nice to meet you! You can be my first friend," Subject smiled. He pulled his new 'friend' towards an alleyway, pushing open the lid to a dumpster. It was surprisingly clean inside, with a small pillow, blankets and several guns ranging from sniper rifles to shotguns, machine guns to pistols. Actually, there was just one of each, though there were three pistols. There were several boxes of ammunition, though.

"This is my house. It's small and it gets really cold sometimes, but I don't mind." Subject said, quite happy about all this. But truth be told, his 'house' and his entire situation looked very...sad. He was a Broken orphan, shunned by the others and literally living in a dumpster. He was insane, sure, but these weren't proper living quarters for any human being.

Rynyn smiled grimly, laughing quietly. "Sure, Subject, 'll be your friend." He sighed and looked in the dumpster. "Wow." He grinned at all the weapons the boy had in his house, not yet noticing how sad this must be for a house until he heard Subject talking. Ryny looked at the boy and put a hand on Subject's shoulder, feeling sorry for the boy for just a minute before shaking it away. "So, you're willing to help me get my sister back?" He asked, leading against the side of Subject's house. 

"Thanks," Subject smiled happily. "And yes! Of course I'll help! She can be my second friend." He grinned, looking excited. He climbed into his house, picking out the sniper rifle and the machine gun, and two pistols. "Here, this should be enough. I'm better with the sniper, and you definitely look like a machine gun kind of person. Oh, we can take this for your sister, too," He grabbed the last pistol, handing two of them to Rynyn as well as the machine gun. "There! And we'll bring plenty of ammo, too, so there's no need to worry about running out."

He climbed out of the dumpster, and paused. "But...in return for helping you, you've gotta help me, too." He said, scratching the back of his neck.

Rynyn raised an eyebrow at all the guns Subject was handing him. This would be interesting to say the least. He nodded in approval at Subject as they loaded up on weapons and ammunition. "Oh? I've already become your first friend, and if we succeed you'll have two friends. There's something else?" He said, halfway teasing the boy. He sighed and shook his head. "What do you need?"

Subject looked down, shifting his weight from foot to foot. "I know, it's a lot to ask, but...I had to leave my rabbit back at my old home, with my not-broken parents. It was terrible...but I didn't have a choice, they would have killed me. I want to go home and find my rabbit. Then we can come back here, and we can go our seperate ways and stuff like that. Yeah." He shuffled his foot, then looked up at Rynyn. "Everyone says I'm crazy, I'm 'broken', but...I'm not! I'm just...alone. I want my rabbit back, then I won't be alone anymore, I'll..." He trailed off, starting to cry.

Rynyn frowned. He listened to what Subject had to say, and his frown grew deeper. They would be lucky to make it back here in time after getting Myst back. If they were to try and go after his rabbit too, there was no telling how long they'd be gone? His eyes widened a bit when he realized Subject was crying. "Hey, d-don't cry!" Rynyn said, taking a step back. He didn't know how to deal with this. Myst had never been much for crying, so he really never had to deal with it.

Subject hiccuped, trying to stop himself from crying. "I-I'm s-sorry, I just...you don't know what it's like." He dropped his voice to a whisper. "You might not have stolen my sanity, but someone did. Mister rabbit helps a little bit. At least I won't be so tempermental with him back...I need him, Rynyn, I don't want to be alone anymore..." He wiped his eyes on his sleeve, not looking up at his friend.

Rynyn watched Subject and  nodded slowly, keeping his head down. Tears were one of the few ways to get past Rynyn's grumpy serious self. "Alright, Subject..." He said, slowly, almost hesitantly putting a hand on the boy's shoulder. "After we get Myst, if we have the time, we'll see about getting Mister Rabbit...If something goes wrong and we can't, you'll still have me and Myst, right?" He hoped that would be enough to calm to boy down enough for the moment. 

Subject thought it over, then nodded. "Okay. I...I can make do, probably..." He looked up and offered Rynyn a sad smile, nodding again. He wiped his eyes on his sleeve. "Thanks. Now, let's go. They'll lock the doors on Sunday, right? We've got to get a move on then, I guess."

"Good." Rynyn nodded, returning the boy's smile with a slightly happier one. "Right." He sighed and smiled grimly. "Then let's go." He turned around and started walking quickly again, eager to reach the entrance and exit to New Atlantis. The sooner they got out, the sooner they could track down his sister and possibly get Mister Rabbit for Subject.

"Ohh, it's been awhile since I took out my big guns. And Telle might be mad that I cut the ropes...they were gonna punish me, I know they were." Subject bit his lip, following Rynyn quickly. "That makes four attempts. Those big men really like mister Telle. Either that, or they like tackling me a lot. Do you think it might be both?" He asked for no purpose whatsoever. Maybe he just liked hearing himself talk. "I hope they don't stop us at the gate 'cuz of my guns, that wouldn't be fun at all. They'd have to get clearance from mister Telle, and mister Telle will see me and tell the guards to keep me from going with you as punishment! Oh no! Oh...wait, we have guns. We can just shoot them. Oh yeah, it's been awhile since I took out these bigger guns, we might get caught by mister Telle, and he will NOT be happy." He was basically talking in circles at this point.

Rynyn watched Subject as he spoke. At first he was listening, as Subject had a couple good points that they should consider. Once Subject went full loop, he was slightly amuzed. After another round or two, Rynyn was rather annoyed at the monotony. "Well, maybe we should go back and tell Telle that we're going. I'm sure he'll be glad to let you go with me, seeing as he doesn't expect us to make it back in time."

"Should we?" Subject stopped mid sentence. "I dunno...last time I just wanted to talk to him, I got punched in the eye by the guards. They don't like me very much. I've decided that they really do like tackling me, though. Let's turn around, then, mister Telle will probably still be in the meeting house." He nodded quickly.
