The Forgotten Zodiac

Rynyn smiled at the boy's reasoning and nodded back at Subject. "They won't get the chance to punch you again. If you'd like, you can just stand outside while I talk to Telle." He said as they turned back towards the meeting house. Rynyn sighed as they walked on. He looked back as Subject's pace was quite a bit slower than his own. "Might not be a bad idea to walk a little faster, Subject. We need to save all the time we can."

"They won't? You sure?" Subject asked nervously, covering his eye with a hand. He definitely didn't want to be punched again. "Okay, I'll do that. Oh! Here, I'll fix it, we can save more time if we run!" He said, charging ahead eagerly despite his hesitation about seeing mister Telle. "Coming through! Out of the way people, we have urgent business!" He yelled at a single person who was walking past with a large box. The man glared at Subject for a bit, looking at Rynyn in confusion before continuing on. People didn't 'hang out' with Subject, for obvious reasons.

Rynyn nodded. "Yes, I'm sure, I'll keep them from hurting you." He watched Subject dash off down the street, chuckling quietly to himself before charging after him. Rynyn met the man with the box's eyes with a stern look. He didn't care what people thought of him, he was a living mess after all. He never did anything to his hair, his clothes would win the prize, if it existed, for dirtiest attire, and his feet espcecially were rather nasty looking. Since he had no sense for pain, he never really noticed when he stepped on anything sharp or pointy. His feet were coated in ugly scabs, mud, and scars. He shrugged away his thoughts of the man and followed Subject back to the Meeting house.

Subject payed the man no mind, running ahead with all the eagerness as before. He came to a very sudden stop as he promptly ran into one of the guards he had mentioned before; mister Telle was leaving the meeting room, and had already found the cut ropes. Subject fell back after the collision with the much larger man, his gun clattering to the ground. Subject reached for it, but the guard kicked it away and grabbed poor Subject by the front of his shirt.

"No! Lemme go!" Subject kicked and struggled as he was pulled off the ground.

"A sniper rifle this time?" Mister Telle sighed heavily. "Honestly, can no one find where the boy hides this stuff?"

Rynyn, as he was close behind Subject, scowled as the guard grabbed Subject. He glared at Telle and sighed loudly. "He's going with me to get Myst back." He said, turning his glare at the guard. "So leave him alone." He looked back at Mister Telle. "Now, you told me that we'd be getting some clean clothes? And we'll need to get past security."

Telle looked at Rynyn for a long moment, then sighed. "Very well. Put him down," The guard obeyed, dropping Subject, though he still looked very unhappy. "Come with me, we'll have to find some clothes that fit you. I'll have a message sent to security." Mister Telle grumbled, turning on heel and marching down the street to a small building with 'tailor' on a sign over the door.

"Oh boy, clean clothes?" Subject stood and brushed himself off. "That's awesome! Do you also have a bathhouse or something? 'Cuz I'm pretty sure I smell bad."

Rynyn kept a stern look on his face as he returned Telle's look. Once the guard let go of Subject, Rynynr grinned at the boy and helped him up, smirking to himseld once Mister Telle turned around. "Let's go find out." He said, still grinning at the boy as they followed Telle towards the Tailor building. 

"No, we do not have a bathhouse for you to use. But you can find a hot springs on the surface or something." Mister Telle rolled his eyes, pushing open the door to the tailors shop. A young woman was sowing a dress at the desk, and looked up as they walked in. Telle spoke quickly with her, then looked at Rynyn and Subject again. "Go ahead and have a look at the clothes on the shelves, find the best fit for you." He waved them towards the other side of the shop, where clothes were ready-made in stacks.

Rynyn stayed close to Subject as they went through the Tailors shop. He looked through the clothes and sighed. For a long time everything he picked was was a tiny bit too short for him. After searching for a little longer he finally found some clothes that fit and looked good. Once he finished his search.e looked over at Subject to see what he found.

Subject had less luck than Rynyn. Everything here was much too large for him, so he had finally settled on a long-sleeved cream sweater that fell well past his waist and the sleeves were over his hands. He had also found a better fitting pair of jeans, which bagged only a little. He had also picked up a hat with ear-flaps, which he had somehow put on inside-out. Telle's guard was having a hard time not laughing at the boy; Telle just rolled his eyes and looked away.

Rynyn did laugh quietly at Subject's choice in wardrobe. "So, you like what you found?" He asked, patting the boy's inside-out hat. He looked over at Telle and the guard. "So, you need to send out the message to security that Subject and I are allowed out." He said to Telle. He looked over at Subject again, then back to Telle. "We need to get out of here as soon as possible.

Subject nodded eagerly, picking up his gun and putting the strap on over his shoulder. "I did that while you two were getting dressed," Telle waved his radio at Rynyn. "Now get out of my sight. I don't mind if you come back, but I'll be quite surprised if you can even survive with that boy," He hissed at Rynyn, lowering his voice so Subject wouldn't hear. "Watch your back, Rynyn, you have no idea what that pesky child is capable of. They did something to him in those jail cells. He's not just broken, it's worse than that, they--"

"Secrets aren't nice, you know!" Subject said loudly, jumping in between Telle and Rynyn. "It's really rude, actually. Mister Telle, aren't you always telling me not to be rude?" Subject pouted. "Come on, Rynyn, let's go save your sister!"

Rynyn rolled his eyes and watched  Subject, ignoring Mister Telle's attitude. He was already taking a few steps towards the door when Subject interrupted Telle's warning. He smiled back at the boy as he stepped in on Mister Telle. "Alright then, Subject!" Rynyn kept going towards the door. 

"Yay! We're going on a rescue mission! I wanted to go on some of the other ones before this one, but they wouldn't let me." Subject said, running ahead and pushing the door open, holding it there for Rynyn. "But now I get to go! With my friend, too, this is great!" He grinned excitedly. It was like this was a game, for him.

Rynyn looked back at Subject after stepping outside. "What other kind of mission did they have that you wanted to do?" He asked, smiling at Subject as he grinned. At least he wouldn't be bored while they were together. 

"Different rescue missions," Subject said. "For whole jails full of people. We're only going in for one person, so it might be kind of harder. Do you know which jail your sister is in?" He asked, turning on heel and walking backwards.

"We may as well get a bunch of people if there are a bunch of people in the prisons that they have Myst in." Rynyn looked down at Subject as he started walking backwards. He chuckled quietly, remembering when Myst would do that. "I think so. It's one of the closest jails to here, so that's a good thing. 

"The closest jail? Oh, that's easy." Subject blinked. "The closest jail is Wyrmhurst. It's like catacombs, it's inside a mountain. I broke out of there before I was caught and carried off to the different place. The different place was bad..." He turned around again to see where he was going. "We could blow it up," He said suddenly. "Wyrmhurst, I mean. We could blow up Wyrmhurst. The different place is too far away, but we could definitely blow up Wyrmhurst."

Rynyn grinned. "Thanks." He said once Subject told him the name of the prison. The name Wyrmhurst was familiar. He looked down at Subject as he talked about being taken to a different place. "We'll blow it up /after/ we get Myst out."

"Well, yeah." Subject nodded. "And we have to be careful not to be caught after we blow it up. Or we'll all be taken back to the different place. That would be very, very bad." He looked up as they came to the gate leading to the outside. "Oh, look! We're almost there. And security isn't stopping us, so let's go!" He charged towards the gate, waving flailing-ly at the guards who were standing there.
