The Forgotten Zodiac

Rynyn sighed heavily and followed Subject since he still seemed to know more than he did. Frustration was still building, but hopefully he'd be able to rest before it exploded. He was doing farely well considering he'd never dealt with this much irritation. Myst had never been as silly as this boy.

Subject was just doing his own thing, really. He wasn't trying to be silly. The streets were empty as they walked into town, the streetlights bright in contrast to the sky above. "Pick a house, any house. We should get into a fancy house, they'll probably have better food there and everything." Subject said brightly, looking around. They could easily steal pretty much anything here. No one would really notice.

Rynyn could hardly stand seeing the place so empty. Sure he and his sister always avoided crowds, towns in general actually, but when something like this was so terribly different it made him feel very anxious. Rynyn suddenly shook his head as Subject spoke. "I'm sorry, what were you saying?" He'd hardly heard the boy, let alone understood what he had been saying. "Sorry." Rynyn's thoughts were all spaced out. He felt more free with his thoughts, like there was more room for them now that the streets were empty.

"Oh, nevermind, I think I know where the bigger houses are." Subject took Rynyn's hand again and pulled the man further into the town. "I said, we'll get better food and more comfortable beds if we go to a place that looks like rich people live in it. It just makes sense."

"Oh. Yeah, it does make sense..." He shook his head again and sighed, walking beside Subject as they headed deeper into town. "Good thinking." He mumbled, continuing to look around as they went.

"I'm a good thinker," Subject hummed, pulling Rynyn across the street, jumping on all the white lines and touching none of the tarmac. "But they still call me broken. I don't care, I don't think I'm broken. No one's tried to fix me, anyways, so I guess I just have to make do with what I have."

 Rynyn simply walked. It was rather disturbing if they called childishness "broken" nowadays. He shook his head slightly. "I don't think your broken either." He stated once they were across the street. "If it's not broken, don't fix it. Simple as that."

"Right! Exactly! So I must not be broken, since no one's tried to fix me." Subject nodded eagerly. They walked down the road, the buildings becoming further apart. They came to a large building with a neatly kept lawn, white walls, and blooming garden. There was a tall fence surrounding the entire place, and the home was well-lit. "Oh, let's try this house. People don't put fences around places that don't have anything important inside, right?"

Amuzed by Subject's redundancy, Rynyn smiled and shook his head very slightly while letting out a soft chuckle. As they neared the house, Rynyn frowned, looking around and thouroughly inspecting the area. "Why are the lights on if everyone is in bed?"

((Actually, that was me contradicting myself again...but let's just run with it. :3 Maybe insert a baddie for you?))

"I dunno. Maybe they like wasting power?" Subject blinked. "We should go in, I'm getting cold just standing out here. It's gotta be warm inside..."

((Alrighty then. Aaand NU. I'm too scareded.))

Rynyn sighed. "Maybe we should just look for a different house." He said quietly.

((ooooh, but I just got a great idea for a bad person...))

((Doooo eeeetttttt.))

Subject blinked at him for a long time. "You pick a house, then." He insisted, nodding a bit.

((Nuuuuuuuuu.   .))

Rynyn sighed, making almost a growling noise. "I don't know. I just don't think it's a good idea to go in there if the lights are on. Maybe there's someone like us or Veneno inside. Just pick another, Subject."

((DO IT. You said you had an idea! MAKE IT HAPPENZ. :I))

"Well if there's someone like us, we should definitely go inside! Maybe they need help," Subject argued, peering past the gate. "But...if it's someone like Veneno, we probably shouldn't be here at all. I don't like that guy."

((Maybe I forgot it!))

Rynyn nodded. "Exactly. I don't like him either. That's why we have to be extremely careful about whose how we invade." He sighed and watched Subject. "If you really think the people in this house are asleep, I guess we can go inside."

((You liiiiieeeeee. :U))

"I dunno..." Subject bit his lip, shifting his weight from foot to foot. "We don't have to if you really don't want to, I guess..."

Rynyn sighed. "Then let's go pick another house. But let's hurry." He started walking again. "I'd like us to get rested and get moving again as soon as possible. We really don't want to get locked out if we can avoid it."

"I guess." Subject nodded, looking around for a different place. He quickly found a different house with a wall around it rather than a fence. He scrambled up the wall easily, and smiled. "There aren't any lights on in this one!" He called quetly down to Rynyn.

((I am trying to remember...))

Rynyn smiled up at Subject and nodded. "Good!" Quickly and easily he climbed the wall behind Subject, eager to get in and out.

Subject dropped down, heading towards the house quickly. It was locked. Subject frowned, then pulled a small pin from his pocket; within moments, the door swung open silently. "In we go!" He giggled.
