((Edited the long post. I forgot to add in that he was a hunter; it explains the fur coat of Remor's description. xD)) Obelisk sat still and allowed Naybrin to touch him. He sat still, wondering what Naybrin was doing. He didn't feel as though his mind was being searched, nor his memories. He couldn't feel magic flooding into him, so it couldn't be anything of that kind. It was just a touch, but it was something Obelisk didn't understand. A simple nuzzle of respect that Obelisk found impossible to comprehend, as he hadn't forced it out of Naybrin with anything. He reached out a bandaged hand and pushed Naybrin away, frowning in bitter confusion.

((Sweet~))
Naybrin shook his head, saying "Hm, so only dear miss Lexi is allowed to befriend you?" He said it jokingly, his warm, melodic voice rushing from his mouth like a great waterfall. "No matter. If you don't want to be touched by the likes of me, I won't push. It was only a bit of a nuzzle, at that." He flared his wings, exhaling and tilting his head back again, then looked at Obelisk again and said "When you are willing, I will be here. After all, if you need a friend, why not have one that will last nearly as long as you? I do believe that if I so wanted, I could in fact live for thousands more years to come. Magic keeps me alive for far longer than a normal dragon's life." He nodded once to himself, then closed his eyes and hummed to himself.

"It is not a matter of friendship, Naybrin. You hold unearthly powers that even I cannot comprehend. You are older, wiser, maybe even more powerful than I. I'm still uncertain as to whether or not you have motives for 'befriending' me." Obelisk snorted. "You claim to be capable of living for thousands of years, and yet you nearly killed yourself when Werr's faked death came about. Will you really live past him, or are you to kill yourself again when he dies for real?" ((Also, Chzy skipped school today, so he's on le mumbrez. :3))

Naybrin tilted his head down, peering at Obelisk through his immense eyes. "You are perceptive, old one," he said. "But not in all things. I have nothing I could possibly want from you. And as for Werr...who knows? Perhaps I could, or perhaps not. Stranger things have happened. Sometimes very, very strange things indeed. But you are allowed your thoughts, same as I am." He stretched, arching his wings out, then said "Perhaps I'll go now. I have business I need to see to elsewhere. I hope to speak with you again, Sharp-Spirit. Caduin-neshta!" He leapt off the side of the house, sailing up into the sky and flying away into the sun.

Obelisk watched him leave, then sighed quietly to himself. Was it really worth anything, killing himself? Now, Remor, Obelisk thought sharply. Don't start thinking that again. It's a valid question. Irrelevant. Everything I've worked towards, I've worked for our deaths. It's what we want. I just can't help but think that there are things we could do... Humankind would never accept our help, whether in this body or another. They're too stupid. I guess so... I know so. "Seria, there you are," Forin sighed with relief as he and Luen reached the guest room where Seria was staying. "Ophile was injured, could you take care of him?" He questioned quietly, although he knew Seria's answer.

"Ah! What happened?!" she said in shock, darting forward and helping to slide the large wolf from Luen's back. She got to work immediately, healing his wounds with a practical eye. She glanced up at Luen, watching as the kirin draped his head over Forin's shoulder and sighed quietly. "You two should go to the healing springs," she said, studying how tired Forin looked as well. "Luna is doing a good job of caring for Diana, so you both should get some rest while you can. Go on. Shoo!" She waved one hand at them and Luen smiled, saying "Thank you, Seria." She smiled in return, saying "It's the least I can do. Now go on." Luen nudged Forin towards his back, saying "You can ride there. Just sit a bit further back towards my hips and I'll be okay. Too far forward and you might fall off." He chuckled in his timid voice, lipping at Forin's hair.

Forin nodded and climbed on, offering a short wave to Seria before they started off. Ophile whimpered a little bit, his back leg twitching. He suddenly slashed out with his claws, catching Seria by the tail and bringing his teeth down on her arm. He didn't puncture the skin though, thankfully, and sat there with her wrist in his mouth, blinking dully as he figured out what was going on. Slowly, he let go, licking the spot on her arm where his teeth had been. "Sorry," He mumbled, trembling as he struggled to keep his head up.

Seria had yelped when he had nearly bitten her, and she had to sit there for a second and just breathe. But she recovered quickly, and she gently pushed Ophile's head down onto her lap, saying "Shh, just lay still. Let me finish." She ran her fingers through his thick fur, sending her healing magic into his body. With her other hand, she held his head, gently stroking his forehead.

"I apologize. Th-that was hasty of me..." Ophile murmured quietly. He flipped his tail once, but it was obvious that he was upset. "I did not expect to be attacked...not by my own kin. Not so brutally. I...I tried to fight back, but I didn't want to. My bretheren did not deserve the pain of tooth and claw from me...but when I realized that they were actually goi...going to kill me...it was too late, I was already too injured to fight..." He breathed slowly, looking very much defeated, and perhaps a bit heartbroken.

Having finished healing his wounds, Seria listened quietly to his words. She wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing his forehead and stroking his fur gently. "Some people react badly to change," she murmured. "They'll get over it. Don't be upset, it's okay. You still have us, and we love you, Ophile. Shh, it's okay." She fondled his ears, stroking down his back and running her fingers through his fur.

Ophile swallowed hard, and was quiet for a long time. Simply watching Seria, watching a speck of dust settle on the rug, watching a tiny white bug flick around the candles on the chandelier. When he was finally calm enough, Ophile spoke again, his voice much steadier, although his general demeanor still very much unhappy. "I am sorry for nearly biting you. I guess I was thinking...that I didn't know who I could trust. I was afraid...and for all the wrong reasons. I'm sorry." He pushed his nose into her hand, taking in the scent of her healing magic and focusing on that, forcing himself to calm down entirely.

((♥~♥~♥ I LOVE YOU~! ♥~♥~♥;))
She stroked his fur back again, rubbing the bases of his ears for a moment before putting her hands under his head, against his cheeks. She lifted his head, making him look up at her. "I wouldn't care even if you really had bit me," she murmured. "I would still forgive you. Just rest, alright? Just rest." She continued to sit there on the floor, holding his head in her lap and bending her head to kiss between his eyes, murmuring a healing word before the contact so it soothed him further.
*
Lexi sobbed into her pillow, as she had been doing ever since they had arrived in Kaislun. She hadn't left her room, and she hadn't really eaten anything. She had just cried, heartbroken by the knowledge that her last living family member was dead and that she had been the one to take his life. Even though it had been for his better, even though he was happy now and able to see his wife and son again, it still hurt, and it hurt badly. So she laid on the bed Werr had gently deposited her onto, her fragile heart aching as she cried out her loneliness. She had never felt so unwanted...

Ophile curled up around her, the tip of his tail flopping down over his nose. He fell asleep there, curled up around Seria in a manner that was protective towards her, but comforting for himself at the same time. * Werr was sitting in the chair just outside her room, waiting. He was a bit hungry and needed to relieve himself, but he stayed right beside the door while Lexi wept. He had felt extremely depressed for Lexi at one point, but that had soon left, to be replaced with a quiet understanding of what Lexi was going through. He couldn't imagine how it felt...thinking about it just made Werr begin to feel upset again. So he didn't think about it. He put his mind on other things, like how he could make Lexi feel better when she was done crying. Flowers, maybe? Sweets? Perhaps he could talk to Toro about making some jewelry. Those things made girls feel good, right? While he mentally debated what to do, Spy crawled up into his lap and purred, smiling widely as Werr scratched him behind the ears absentmindedly. Werr didn't really think about what he was doing, but Spy was thoroughly enjoying the petting, that was for certain. (("Werr, in the meantime, appeared to be some sort of Bond villan. Sitting there with a thoughtful look, his hand rested on the side of his chin and propping his head up with the help of the chair armrest, added with the furry animal being slowly stroked by his other hand, he could have very well been a criminal mastermind awaiting the arrival of their arch nemisis." xD Had to, but didn't see how that would fit. :T))

((xD Nice. Ah, the images.))
Welk carefully stuck his head out of Werr's pocket, peeking up at the boy for a moment. He knew what Werr wanted to do, but Welk was even more clueless when it came girls than Werr was. He pricked up his ear when he heard the soft crying in the room behind them stop. "Werr," he said, tugging on the boy's shirt, then pointed to the room. "She stopped crying. Now's your chance!" He wiggled back into his pocket, keeping quiet as he curled up again.

"I don't know if I should go in," Werr said quietly. "I was going to wait longer..." He rubbed his arm a bit nervously, debating what to do. Lexi could start crying again if he said the wrong things...she could not be done crying, even; she could just be crying quieter than before. Werr stood, causing Spy to jump off and scurry away. Werr pressed his ear to the door as though that would help him tell whether or not that was so. Finally, he sighed and knocked on the door twice. He waited for an answer, not sure if he would be invited in or not. One thing was for certain, he didn't want to mess this one up. ((Fixed.))

There was no reply for a long moment. Then her voice, scratchy and weak, started to call to him. But it was so broken sounding that she had to pause and cough. When she was able to breathe clearly again, she wiped her eyes and mumbled softly. "She said you could come in," Welk said, who was leaning out of Werr's pocket, nearly to the point of falling out, in order to press his ear against the door. "Trust me! Go in!" His voice was barely any bigger than a whisper, not wanting to alert Lexi to his presence. He ducked back down into the pocket, keeping totally silent. When the door was opened, Lexi was sitting on the edge of the bed, clearly trying to put on a more steady expression in front of Werr, even though tears still dripped down her pale, thin cheeks.

Werr looked at her, worry and sympathy creasing his face. "Hey," He said softly, picking up his chair and dragging it into the room. He shut the door behind him, and set up the chair so he could sit directly across from Lexi. He sat down, looking at her with worry still in his eyes. "Will you be okay?" He asked quietly, taking her hand into his.

She took in a deep breath, shuddering with the effort, then closed her eyes as more tears poured out. "I...I don't know," she squeaked, her voice seeming to snap halfway through her words. It trailed quickly down to just a whisper, and she pulled her hands free from Werr's and put them over her face, sobbing into her hands. Her cries were so tiny, so fragile and weak. Like a single harsh word would just break her in half.

Werr was quiet for a long time, just watching her cry. He hated it. Eventually, he mustered up the will to ask, "Is there...anything I can get you?" He asked quietly. "Water, food...anything? I...I could even get Obelisk, if that would make you feel better. Being with friends always helped me feel better, after all..." He murmured, looking down as he was unable to stand watching Lexi cry more and more.

She shook her head, stammering "N-no, n-no..." She hunched her shoulders, turning a bit more away from him. Welk took this oppertunity to slip out of Werr's pocket and fly behind him. He whipped in small circles, gaining speed, then slammed into the small of Werr's back, forcing the boy out of the chair and onto the bed next to Lexi. She squealed in fear, quickly turning around to stare at Werr as he sat up, then weakly leaned against him, crying against his shoulder and twinning her fingers into his shirt.
