"He is unable to do that for you," she said quietly, in her flute-like little voice. "He is no longer of stable mind. He cannot understand the dragon language or the drakeling one, or any other lesser one. I apologize for your food..." She slowly dragged herself over to the cow and stared at it, then carefully picked a few of the spices from its hide, studying them. "...I believe one of these is a mild painkiller," she said. "No wonder he went for it over another."

Boko made a face. "Look, lady, I just want a new cow. I don't care about crazy here. Will you go get me a new cow?" He snorted from his nose, pretty sure she had no way of hunting for him, much less catching prey any size close to the last. "It was for my mom. She's not eating enough, because she has my little brother or sister in her stomach eating all the food."

"I apologize for your loss, but I must ask you to leave," she said mournfully, turning her dull eyes on him. "Drakkor goes after things such as your cow because he could smell the herbs used within it. He has been riddled with pain all of his life, and it is the cause of his insanity. Neither he nor I can gather the herbs ourselves - he because of his state of mine, and I because...well, I cannot travel on land, as you can see..."

((Dear Bun, I decided to leave a note tonight. ^^ Just for the heck of it. I've already been planning what to get you for Christmas. >:3 I need a lot more time to actually pick something, though. xD (Good thing Christmas isn't here just yet; I have time.) I want to send you so much. .o. I'll definitely be sending a picture with the stoof. Tell me something to draw for youuuu. MAYBE I'LL SEND MYSELF IN A BIG CARDBOARD BOX! 8D Though nothing titled 'Handle with care' is ever handled with care...hmm...that would be a long trip...I'd have to pack snacks... Another villager I didn't want to move in my New Leaf game has up and decided to leave. I wonder if they hate me. I do everything they want. 8I Except for that pig that I really want to leave. I beat him up with my net on a daily basis. So why is he still here...? Endless piggu, it seems. Hmmmm. Guild Wars is boring without you. All I do is guest into Crystal Desert and do the Frostgorge rotation. xD I should go. I'll talk to you tomorrow, as agreed. >;3 -hugs- ♥ ~Trin))

((Uwah! I must comply. I wish for a picture of...a surprise! Maybe Boko? Although I would like a little picture of you to put into my wallet so I can giggle when I look in there. I would like that muchlies. In that case, you gotta tell me what you want drawn for Christmas. xD I'm afraid I don't have any monies, so I can't getcha much more than crafts. .w. Maybe I'll make you something out of clay? That sounds good, actually. .3. Piggu is jerkface. He knows you hate him, so he stays. JUST TO MAKE YOU SUFFER. Tomorrow, tomorrow~)) Realization finally seemed to dawn on Boko's face. "Oh...well..." He muttered, scraping his claws against the ground. "Why is he hurting? Did he get a boo-boo somewhere? Can it be fixed? My mom licks me when I'm hurting and it makes things feel better. Should I lick his foot? That's what hurts, right?" He asked, frowning. "Maybe I can get Shiya to get more herbs, too. We can stuff 'em in a squirrel or something. Do you think he'd be able to get me a cow then?"

((Hee hee hee~))
The mermaid shook her head very slowly, sadly. "I don't think he can comprehend hunting for another, little one," she murmured. "Long ago, he was one of the great Lord Naybrin's generals in the dragon war against humans. The war that nearly wiped the dragon species out completely. Drakkor's mate and three newborn nestlings were brutally slaughtered before his eyes by the humans. It was...vile. Corrupt. He's never recovered since, as you can see. In his rage over the loss of his beloveds, he charged the enemy lines. He broke through and allowed the dragons victory, but the price was that Drakkor was maimed beyond even Lord Naybrin's repair. He became malthalatch, insane, and retreated into the depths of this mountain, where he met me. I have been his caretaker and last friend since."

"Oh." Boko blinked, then rubbed his face on the ground as he tried to think. "Well...he'd better not take my next cow," He said, though his head was still pretty much on the ground. "I'm really tired. I don't want to hunt more..." He muttered, then let out a sigh. "I should go find Shiya again..."

((Also, as dragons live for so long, a great-granddad would be as close as a grandfather, n' stuff. :3 ))
"Again, I sorely apologize for what Drakkor has done to you..." the mermaid whispered, leaning against the huge dragon's nose as he snorted and growled in his sleep. "I'm sorry..." "Bokooooooooo?" Drakkor's large eye shot open at Shiya's distant call (she had gotten semi-lost within the caves), the pupil within his eye thinning sharply as he lifted his head, growling and breathing heavily as he strove to find the intruding source of the sound.

Boko hissed at the obvious aggresive mood Drakkor had suddenly fallen into. He lifted his head and he took off after the larger dragon. "No! Bad! You stay here, you big meatsack. That's my mate to be, and I won't let you lay a finger on her." He spat, running ahead to try and get to Shiya before the big dragon did.

"Drakkor, no!" the mermaid called, struggling to drag her frail body over the ground. She was a water-creature, not a land one. She managed to latch onto Drakkor's tail, however, and began resiliently hauling herself up towards his back. Meanwhile, Shiya was unaware of the danger she was in until the ground started to shake with each of the huge dragon's footsteps. She turned with a curious but concerned tilted of her head at the sound as Boko charged down the tunnel, well ahead of the lumbering, pain-riddled old dragon.

((Dear Bun, so I might've bought about 1 Gold's worth of dyes again today on GW. 8I I don't have a problem, really I don't. Oh well. At least it was all only dyes worth 1 Silver, so I got about a hundred of 'em. xD Good stuff. And I am NOT moving onto the 14 Silver ones. ._. I'll be bankrupt in a day, two days max. Heh, I've been listening to the original Naruto soundtrack. NOSSSTALGIAAAAAA. That right there is my favorite anime evar. Evar. Also, Tom Nook is a BIG FAT HOG IN A RACCOON'S SKIN. Translation; my house payment is 345,000 bells and I also want to buy a set of Gracie furniture. Thus, blame Nook. x___x" I drew. The cutest. Deer. Ever today. He is soooooo cute. I just need to ink him in and I'll upload it tomorrow. I could never draw something this cute again if I tried. 8I ~ <3 I should go. I have to take a stupid long math test tomorrow at the campus. Soooooo, nighties. -hugs- ♥ ~Trin))

((Aww. xD Bad Tom Nook. I just get to a nice house size that I like and only try to expand once I've finished furnishing the ones I have. So I'm slow. o3o The music is okay. I still don't like the anime itself, but I don't judge. xD Aww, math tests...stupiiiiiiiiiid. See you when you get back. Or before. Whichever.)) "Shiya!" Boko slid to a stop in front of her, panting. "Come on, let's go. We have to go," He tugged on her tail. "Come on, let's find my hole! Come on, come on," Shiya was the only other dragonling to have ever been in his tunnels. She didn't like it as much as flying, but Boko had a very good reason for not wanting her to fly right now. He couldn't protect her in the air. Boko drew himself towards the deeper end of the tunnel again, only to let out a quick blast of silver flame, in hopes it would slow Drakkor down. "Let's go!"

((Also, I want Zephyr here. Zephyr smells like his mother. Drakkor would actually speak. But I don't know why Zephyr would be here. But I want him here anyways, because he doesn't even know Vaira's pregnant yet, I don't think.))
Shiya squeaked fearfully, turning and galloping towards where she knew the tunnel was at. Drakkor, though huge, old, and lumbering, was fast; he rapidly gained ground over them, roaring and bellowing angrily. He was briefly distracted by Boko's silver flames, but the movement of the two fleeing young ones quickly drew him back.

((Pfft. Zephyr is not here. Zephyr is with Werr.)) "Run, run, run, run!" Boko wailed, only sliding to a stop when they arrived at the hole. "Go, go!" He pushed Shiya down into it. "Follow the tunnel, I'll catch up to you!" He ordered, shoveling a bit of dirt over the spot so Drakkor might not know where she had gone. "HEY UGLY!" He screamed, blowing out more silver flames. "This way!"

((I knoooooooow.))
Shiya, deathly afraid and confused at this point, ran sobbing through the tunnels to the outside. Drakkor, enraged and furious at this point, charged full-throttle through the caves until they reached the outside, bellowing his rage as he lumbered along at a very slow, ancient gallop. The mermaid clinging to his back looked almost as afraid as Shiya had been, and it seemed there was nothing she could do to calm her friend.

((Dear Bun, so, as you know, I went out to eat with my Grandpa today. It started out nice. There a buffet with popcorn shrimp and cotton candy (I love that pink fluff) at the restaurant. And mac'n'cheese. A mass of shrimp, chicken and 3 sticks' worth of cotton later, evidentally, was not a good combo. xD BUT IT WAS WORTH IT. Wow, I'm tired tonight. I woke up really early because I had a bad nightmare. It might sound a little sillyish, but...this dream scared me. It scared me so much. It started out nice. I got to see my Grandma (who is dead) in my dream, and I had a beautiful pet black panther. Then a dog (picture, scruffy terrier corgi thingy) came up and spoke to me. And that's where the dream got extremely scary. Basically, the dog curled up in my lap and warned me that the end-times, the stuff in the end of the Bible, were coming soon. A huge monster, bathed in the blood of mankind (and the Bible actually talks about this, so that's part of why I was so scared), would rise up in the aftermath and tear the Earth apart. And it showed me pictures and visions of it happening, and all I remember was crying and behind comforted by the dog and the panther, and then I woke up and cried for awhile. I think that was one of my worst dreams. I've got two others that I classify as 'worst ever', and this one joins the ranks. Why has this turned into 'horror nightmare story night'? xD Sorry. I just needed to get this out of myself so I could try to sleep normally tonight. I'll go now. ^^ I'll see you tomorrow. -hugs- ♥ ~Trin))

Boko skipped backwards, avoiding the trampling paws charging at him. "Hey! Don't ignore me, you big oaf!" He roared, surprisingly loud for his size. "Come and get me!" He scooped up a good clawful of dirt and threw it forcefully at his massive opponent, snarling. ((Sorry for the short post. WATSOOOONNNNNN THE PROPHET SorryIhadtoitwasjustwhatcametomind And don't worry about the end of the world. I figure, if it's gonna end, no time like today. I think that to myself pretty much every day, but it never really happens. Jesus' coming is gonna happen sooner or later, but it's really not something we should get worked up about. Hey, if He comes tomorrow, we'll see each other then, won't we? Yes, we will. So we look forward to it, not cower before it, right? Right.))

((Memememe. Yeah, I know. The dream was just horrifying.))
Drakkor bellowed his anger, lifting a large paw to rub at the eye the clod of dirt had flown into. It only stopped it for a moment, however, before he bore down on Boko in earnest, gaining ground faster than the drakeling could recover it. They made it to the main cave, light teaming inside from the large opening that lead to the outside, and it was there that Drakkor caught him. A huge paw slammed down on Boko's tail, pinning him to the ground as the large dragon snarled.

Boko squealed, and immediately attempted to start clawing through the rock to escape, but it was no good. He was caught in Drakkor's claws. He could only be grateful that Shiya had gotten away, and be resigned to his fate. Heck no. He twisted around and clawed at Drakkor's paw. The old dragon's scales had been whithered and worn, and Boko's drakeling claws tore through them after only a couple attempts. Upon seeing this, he attacked with renewed fevor, first clawing off scales and going after that spot with his teeth. Basically doing as much damage as he possibly could.

Drakkor bellowed and lifted his other paw, intending to cleave Boko's head from his shoulders in one fell swoop. A roar sounded out, and Drakkor barely had enough time to lift his head as Vaira screamed down from the sky, slamming into him with all the power and force of a very, very angry mother dragon. Her claws split his skin on his shoulders and face as she and he bellowed, snarling and snapping and screaming their battle-cries at each other.
