The Forgotten Zodiac

"Er, yeah. Apparently, Allie wants her dad." Verolen nodded. "Have you seen Tobias anywhere? I haven't seen him lately. We already checked the town hall and the other end of town, at that. He should be somewhere over here..."

"Nope, haven't seen him. He is Bun's character, after all. I can't control when he shows up," L'arc said, turning and scowling at the fourth wall. "Seriously, where are you hiding him, Mercy?"

"YE DARE BREAK THE WALL OF FOURTH?!" Mercy barked at Hannah's character. "I shalt condemn ye for this, ye...ye..." She dropped the silly act and sighed, shaking her head. "You didn't even try to look for him. Honestly, I swear...our characters are getting so lazy, Hannah."

((8I You silly Hannah. I had to go away for awhile. A looooong while. Clearly. Tomorrow's gonna be worse, my mom and dad are leaving for hunting and won't be back until Thursday.

Also, Tobias is chatting with a few druids, who I suppose will be SPCs (shared player characters).))

"It's because we've been doing this for so long," Hannah sighed. "They figured out our existance and want us to make their lives easier." Lowering her voice, she snickered. "Yeah, right." She turned and had a calming conversation with her charcters, who looked a little shaken up after the loud screaming that had come seemingly from the heavens. They nodded quietly and then returned to the plot.

L'arc cleared his throat softly. "Erm... nope, haven't seen Tobias. I'm sure he's around here somewhere, though," he said.

"Let's get looking, then." Verolen muttered. His 'calming conversation' had consisted of his creator jabbing him in the sides with a pencil until he agreed to continue with the story. "Maybe he's talking to Versha?"

"Good place to check," L'arc agreed, turning to Bermuda and Allie. Both of whom had remained inconscpicuous during the fourth wall breaking. "Let's get moving, shall we?" he offered.

Verolen took the lead. Versha was among her people; they were planting an orchard of apple trees, the druid magic working to help each of them grow straight and bear fruit quickly. The Tree Spirit was overseeing the whole of the operation, as she was feeling much better now. "Hail, forest champions. You seem troubled." She greeted as they approached.

"We're looking for Tobias," L'arc said, admiring the trees. He reached out and brushed one of the sturdy new trunks with his fingers, smiling. "When we find him, I'll come back over here and help out, yeah?" he offered, before looking around the orchard for the human leader.

"If you so desire, I will not deny assistance." Versha smiled brightly. "Tobias is taking a lesson in tree care from a few of the druids here. With our knoweldge passed to him, this orchard will stand for years to come."

"Oh, thanks," L'arc said, smiling with the knowledge of where to find the human now. He reached over and took Allie from Verolen, bouncing her lightly on his hip before heading further into the orchard. "Tobias!" he called.

"One moment, ladies," Tobias' voice could be heard nearby, and he emerged from one of the neat rows smiling. "Ah...Allie, what's wrong?" The girl wiggled out of L'arc's grip and ran to her father, hugging him quickly. "Er...thank you for bringing her, L'arc. Is everything alright? I thought she was napping in Bershee's tent..."

"She woke me up," Bermuda said, shrugging slightly. "And she wanted you. I mean, that's the sense I got, anyway. Looks like I was right," he said.

Allie clung to her father's shirt, knowing he couldn't exactly pick her up right now. He was still on crutches, it was hard to carry himself, even. "Well...thank you. She's always been a bit...needy. Sometimes I worry I can't care for her as well as her mother could, but...that's a different story. I appreciate you escorting her to me."

"Yeah, no problem," L'arc said, smiling brightly. He then turned and headed back over to where they had left Versha, hoping to make himself of some use in the planting of the orchard. "Verolen, escort Bermuda back to Bershee's tent, would you?" he called back.

"Sure!" Verolen called in return, then turned to Bermuda. "Should we head back to Bershee, then?"

"I wanted to spend a little more time looking at the outdoors," Bermuda said, sighing.

Verolen paused. "We...could take the scenic route." He suggested lightly. "But only if you're feeling up to it. Heck, we could probably have Bershee move your tub outside even, I'm sure she wouldn't mind. Hey, have you seen the saltwater lake? That's where Bershee's eggs are. Maybe you could spend some time in there. Better than being in a tub, right?"

"The tub is starting to become a bit uncomfortable," Bermuda agreed, shrugging slightly. "And Bershee's laid her eggs? I hadn't heard that."

"Yeah. I think they'll hatch this weekend or something." Verolen shrugged. "Come on, you can go see." He smiled, starting towards the saltwater lake.

Bermuda followed quickly, a small smile growing on his face. "Wow. Baby Octi? Wow," he muttered under his breath. "Never thought I'd see those."
